G&G MXC9 Airsoft Electric SMG

"When I first got this gun I was hoping that I would not have to open the gearbox.The gun itself is of great quality but not as I wanted to be. Exterior and features are amazing. The trigger response is exceptional. The g2 gearbox is a great performer however, I did not like the fact that the sector gear and piston was short stroked 2 teeth. The g2 also had a very stiff spring probably a m120 or so. I'm not a fan of this setup because it makes a slamming noise due to the heavy spring and I believe it causes unnecessary stress just for 330fps. To be clear the noise is not from the amplifier. I removed it right off the bat because theyre annoying to me. The 18k motor also heats up really fast too.

With that said, here is what I changed , I swap out the cylinder from a 3/4 to a 1/2 ported piston for the barrel length ratio. Stock barrel is roughly 110mm long. I added an m90 spring and a standard g&g sector gear. Now the gun shoots smooth with minimal noise and less stress at 327 fps. To me, it's more efficient that way. I finally added deans connectors because Tamiya's are lame. The shimming is fine as it is.

I give this a 4 out of 5 because I hate opening gearboxes. I don't work on them for fun but for my satisfaction of improving it. Every gun I own I had to open it up just to twick it to my desire.

Overall it's not a bad gun for 350 price range. It's a very well built gun and an accurate shooter for such a short barrel. The etu makes featuring possible. I've seen way worse for this price. Cough cough elite Force mp5 with the red trigger.....oOOOooOo

Hope this help some of you. I may be different but I just have my preferences on my aegs. For experience or technical players you probably gonna open it up anyways. It would be great for beginners if your not picky about things. I would recommend this to everyone.
