Noveske Flush Quick Detach Sling Mount

"Works Perfectly IF you remove the material applied to the threads from the factory.

My Tavor QD mounts got loose and fell off and I was unable to order parts from the manufacture.

Packaging was simple and instructions were very clear with ONE exception.

This is basically a nut and bolt with a QD Mount and a nut with one side that has short spikes to dig into your plastic gun frame to secure it.

I bought two of these for the left and right side of my gun stock and noticed that both had a brown plastic like material that had been brushed onto the threads which prevents the nut from being able to thread all the way along the thread of the "bolt".

YOU NEED TO REMOVE THIS MATERIAL FROM THE THREADS!

I used a sharp knife cut away at the material and then used something like a thick needle or tiny screw driver head to scrape all of it off, allowing the the nut to freely travel up and down the full length of the bolt.

I made the mistake of not doing this with the first QD mount, thinking that the material might be some soft of factory thread locker to help the QD mount stay in place and not shake loose.

WRONG....I spent a frustrating hour trying to use a wrench to get this tightened up and managed to seize up the nut and bolt to the point where it cannot be firmly secured to the frame of the gun AND I cannot unscrew it....it works but is loose and sloppy looking.

Why did they apply this stuff and why didn't the instructions say to remove this???

2nd time around with the other QD Mount, free of the material on the threads installed in less than a minute.

Use a "blue" thread locker gel on the threads to hold it in place and so you can remove them, if you want to transfer them to another gun.

Learn from my mistake.

Good product that saved the day for me so that I can continue to use a sling on my rifle.

This seems to be the only product like this....good product but pricey for what it is....a nut and bolt with QD Mount.
