"I really want to like this slide catch, I really do.
I have the red one and the color is beautiful and looks great on my hi capa.
The big issue is that the paint is so cheaply put on that literally a couple times of taking it out and putting it back in will chip the paint.
As anyone who owns a hi capa knows, you need to push out the slide catch through the circular opening on your frame in order to take off the slide to do any kind of work or maintenance, and doing this a mere 2-3 times already chipped off the paint to the point where its completely silver where it should be red.
Even the areas where there should be no contact whatsoever is chipping off, and I haven't even fielded my hi capa yet; it really goes to show how cheap the paint job is on this slide catch

Overall very disappointed with the paint job, but it looks great while it lasted.

"This product adds a great extension to the slide release which allows your right hand to access it. However, this product does not function well. It does not fit and does not reach far enough to actually engage the slide stop when the magazine is inside.
