Phantom GD141 3X42 Tri-Color Illuminated Scope

"This is a great scope. It is made very well and feels high quality. It has a lot of weight to it and is made well. It is perfect for any AR (M4 or M16) platform. It fits great on the top rail of my Tokyo Marui M4 GBBR ZET and looks and feels great to have on. It is tall enough to cleat the front sight tower of my TM M4 GBBR. The front sight tower (of an AR type rifle)is barely visible at the bottom of the optic, but it is out of focus and you notice it only if you think about it. This is also because the field of view is VERY large for such a small optic. The 42mm aperture, which is only 10mm larger than a standard 4x scope, REALLY makes a huge difference. You can see quite a lot more through this scope than you would expect. The 3x zoom is also perfect for airsoft gaming or just target shooting. This scope has a fixed reticle that is a circle with a long "hair" (for lack of a better word. I mean just a small black line) that protrudes out the bottom of the circle with range finding marks on it. Then there are two smaller "hairs" protruding out each side of the circle. The reticle is black as you would expect but just floats in the middle of the field of view, there are no "hairs" stretching out to the edge of the scope from the reticle. You do not need batteries to use this scope. The reticle is visible without power. This is a major advantage as you can always use the scope and don't have to worry about battery life. Scopes that have no fixed reticle and rely on power to project a reticle (like a red dot sight) are useless if the batteries go dead. But not with this scope! The reticle illumination is really nice but is optional. The scope takes a single AAA battery (which is weird for such a scope but I like the convenience) and can have the reticle illuminated in either red, green or blue. There are buttons for each color, and the brightness can be adjusted with two more buttons. The scope has a nice and very clear picture. The focus can be adjusted as well by rotating a ring at the back of the rear lens. I love this scope and it is well deserved from my TM M4 GBBR.I think this scope is best for AR type rifles, but it would be a good option for any full size rifle. I do not recommend this scope for small SMGs as it is too big and heavy. Put this scope on a rifle! I recommend this scope to anyone looking for an affordable zoomed optic to put on their weapon for either airsoft skirmishes or just target shooting.

"Really good optic for the money. It’s definitely bigger than what the picture made me think, but it’s still not super heavy. The crosshair is really nice. It’s got the extra lines to adjust for windage and elevation while still keeping the reticle simple. The image clarity and field of view is very nice. It has a knob that allows you to adjust the focus of the image depending on distance. I like the reticle enough that I didn’t bother putting the battery in to use the different color modes. The eye relief was a little shorter than what I was anticipating but it’s still perfectly useable. For the money it’s a really great low power optic.
