A&K SR25 12.5" Free Float RIS Handguard

"Good quality replacement RIS that is clearly a brand-new OEM replacement part, rather than something salvaged from a returned/defective gun. I got this to fix my A&K fixed stock SR25 after the welds attaching the rail section to the attachment ring failed on my original handguard. Installation is not quite straight forward, so below are some pointers. It's a bit lengthy but hopefully it's helpful to someone.

Before you get this, you will need pliers, something to knock out the pins from the gas block, and an AR wrench. Whether you borrow one from a friend or buy it yourself, you must a good AR wrench. Removing the gas block is the hardest part of all this. There are 3 horizontal pins that need to be punched out (there are several ways to do it, be creative). On the underside, there is another pin that sticks out and can be pulled out with pliers, along with a set screw that needs to be taken out with a small Allen/hex wrench (1.5mm is what I used). Then you can remove your old RIS with the AR wrench, which is simple but requires some brute force. Then do everything in reverse to install the new rail and reattach the gas block. Once I figured out what needed to be done, the actual work required wasn't too complicated.

Overall, this is a great replacement part. if you need a new handguard for whatever reason, then this exactly what you need.
