"This is a solid piston and the 2nd one i have purchased. The airbrake helps make the rifle a little bit more silent and also gave me very consistent readings with a laylax 150 spring. Don't let it fool you with "lowering fps" because with this piston and pring combo i was getting 360fps on a .46 gram bb at 2.71 joules consistently (was at 2.8 before spring had bedded in) TTI seems to make great products!

"Same as the other review(s) say. It's good, TTI makes good products, and it functions (almost) as intended. It holds up well against a Laylax SP150 spring, and the trigger catch looks brand new after about a month of outdoor weekend airsofting.

Yesterday though, the rubber pad on the front of the piston with the holes in it popped off. The adhesive wasn't good enough to keep it attached. I had to re-glue it with gorilla glue. Hoping it holds.

It still worked perfectly fine without the rubber pad, but it helps to keep the gun quiet and *not* shatter the piston after consistent firing.

The option airbrake that comes with the piston also popped off around the same time, and it ended up inside the cylinder head (Which caused my VSR to start slam firing). It's possible it wasn't screwed in tight enough, but given that the airbrake is plastic, I'm not ruling out the possibility of the threads being stripped due to the intense G-forces of the piston's movement.

I'm considering adding Loctite to it, just to make sure it stays in.
