"They’re fine for $10. No coating of any kind, literally just a thick sheet of foam that bends really easily. Would not recommend, buy the more expensive ones that actually hold their shape.

"I bought these just to see them, and if I was throwing away $8.00 (bought at full price w/ 20% code) so be it. They are twice to three times the thickness of the ones that came with USMC CIRAS Plate Carrier (Vest-CIRAS-OD). I got the large size as I have used a friend's military Large SAPI plate in the carrier before. The large foam plates are a bit too large to cram into the space provided so I would recommend medium. They are what they are and help to fill out the vest properly. Sure you can construct your own, which I had done previously, but you will spend at least $8-10 anyway so why deal with the headache of doing so.
