The "X2R/P TACO" is a Modular DOUBLE rifle mag pouch with a Single pistol mag pouch.

The "X2R TACO" Modular DOUBLE rifle mag pouch is the Next Evolution in HSGI's Extremely Popular TACO series of Pouches. Like the original TACO it will handle any type of Rifle Magazines thrown at it. The ability to carry 2 Magazines in a single Pouch eliminates the need for double stacking TACO's. The pouch is one piece of 4 layer laminated Cordura with 2 Plastic Brackets which are separated by a HDPE sheet. The HDPE sheet has a 1" webbing sewn on it which adds a bungee loop at the top for over the top bungee retention. Made of Cordura, Polymer, and shock-cord, it is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag. The "X2R TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mags, which is adjustable and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top of the Cordura and HDPE separator for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security.

"Pistol TACO", Universal single pistol mag pouch. This pouch will hold any combination of Pistol Magazines. Single Stack 1911's to HK 45 Magazines. 1911, M9/Beretta 92, Glock, HK, XD, Ect.. IT can also hold a variety of Multi-tools and Flashlights securely.

    "Pros:
    These hold basically all the magazine styles you can get ahold of. (AK, AR, Large Sniper Mag, SR-25, M13, etc.)
    Have a great retention system and won't let any magazines fall.
    Have a great draw on any magazine style you choose to use with it.
    Re-indexing once you figure it out is pretty simple.
    Lifetime warranty if registered and cared for properly.

    Cons:
    Re-Indexing can be rather slow mid fire fight.
    Cost a lot
    I agree with Anthony L. the magazines with double M4 or even single M4 might be better for weight
    Stick out rather far from plate carrier or vest.
    Difficult to put on or take off.


    Overall I have been using these for about 3 years and no issues. Great all around and would definitely purchase again. If you have the money go for it but if not then I would say avoid these and explore some cheaper alternatives.


    FYI: designed for real steel equipment and as such can be used with said gear.

    "These are worth the money they will fit any size mags available on the market for your rifle. It can fit M4,AK, G63 and was also able to fit some of my nerf magazines in it for gigs

    Pros:
    - fits almost any style mags out there
    - holds mag in place and securely

    Cons:
    - a bit difficult to install due to the plastic clips that come with it but nothing like YouTube can't help out with
    - I would recommend getting the double stacked only and the pistol pouch seperate due to the weight of 2 mags and one pistol mag in the front. It tends to shifts the pouch forward and tends to sag. Personally a bit annoying for me

    "These taco pouches are worth the money and can fit any size mags out there on the market. M4, Ak, G36, even my nerf gun magazines fit !!!! Well worth the money and very good quality

    - hold mags in place
    - fits multiple style magazines

    Cons:
    - bit difficult to install due to the plastic clips but nothing like YouTube can't help

    -recommend getting double stacked only I am running double stacked Mags and a pistol mag in the front and the pouch tends to sag to the front due to the weight of the gas blowback pistol magazine
