"I bought these for some of the offbrand "box of mags" plastic midcaps way back when. They were roughly half the length of a standard spring. I didn't think to try stretching them out to match. I used two per mag.

Wire comparison - the MAG brand were a sturdier gauge wire so they had much better compression. They feed almost too well - I've dropped the mag and got a grenade shower effect.

So, yes, they work for 'generic' midcaps. I may try stretching one spring to where it's roughly the length of a standard spring and see how they perform. Even using two per mag, you still get about the standard 90 of the pts mags and it'll feed any weight you're going to use.

I'd rate them at 4/5 simply because if they need to be stretched they should include a small info sheet or it should spell out that "PACK OF TEN" does five mags.
