" So I did buy this i think before there was any reviews. currently 1 star rating 1 review before I post this rating.
The mag works and intended. its polymer but that is a plus in my opinion because it keeps the weight down. but maybe if you smack it hard against some cover it could break.
The real issue is indeed it doesn't seem to fit WELL probably in any AK that I know of. It does "fit" in my gun but not seated all the way for it to feed like it should. I have to hold the mag and push it a little for it to feed. the problem lies in the back. to fill the mag you place it face down and unscrew the center piece that holds the whole back lid in place. the lid part is too thick and hinders that seating click sound you normally get.
the answer to the problem is filing down the tip of the lid enough for it seat. I have not yet accomplished this but that I know is the solution. probably just some sandpaper or a Dremel will do the trick.
" So, I bought 2 of these (one for an AK47 - and second for an RPK) they both worked well, fed great, and did the job on day one. Unfortunately they are all plastic, and on our second time out using them the lip that latches the mag in just sheared off. Even with epoxy, and all other types of glues - nothing would fix these. Spend the $55 on the LCT. Don’t waste your money on these unless you plan to baby the f*** out of them.
" I brought this mag just a few days ago not good. This is my experience only. I have THE CYMA Kalashnikov AK-47 that I all brought from Evike (shout out). I put batteries in bbs and tried it out seemed to work well. About 2 days later I wanted to really test it,clipped in my gun it no longer feeds the bbs up in the hop. The bbs come up to the top of the magazine and that's it. Not sure what the issue is I'm just stuck with a useless drum mag now. Also the small lip that helps hold it in place broke on the 1st click in. I would not recommend this....it's just my personal opinion.
