BullGear CNC Tappet Plate for Airsoft AEG Gearboxes

"wanted to try one of these out for fun... performed as expected.
first of all, it's a nice piece of aluminum. the color is nice... but no one ever sees it because it's in a gearbox.
didn't want to modify it too much, so i ran it in a 13:1 16tpa ssg build, and the results were far from promising. a tappet plate has to flex; this doesn't flex. the pickup post on the sector gear absolutely tore chunks out of the tappet fin after /-10k rounds and left shavings in the gearbox for me to clean up (news flash - steel is always harder than aluminum). i decided to use a normal polymer sector delayer chip and this tappet plate tore it to bits.
when firing, it also makes this weird knocking sound, i don't know if it's from slamming forward or being picked up... couldn't tell.
my conclusion? i kinda expected this to be bad and gimicky, and it sure was. tappet plates aren't supposed to be metal. metal isn't always better than polymer, and this is an example of that. nice piece, but no real practical value.
