"I bought the model with the functioning lights, and they seem to work fine. These do exactly as they are intended to; a fake pair of (light-up) NVGs that add an affordable cool factor to any airsoft kit or cosplay. Great for impressing your buddies at the airsoft range, not so much for actual play as you obviously can't look through them.

Be aware that my unit came without batteries or any form of instructions out of the (admittedly cool) hard case. Thus, I had to surf the web for such info and order the batteries elsewhere, as ones of this size are hard to come by in my area. These use two CR1220 lithium batteries that are installed in each lens tube, behind sets of 4 screws that face the hinges. To turn on the functional lights, simply rotate the lens tubes 90 degrees to the down position. I recommend pairing this with the FMA PVS-31 Functional Battery Case w/ IR Strobe (https://www.evike.com/products/59934/) for a more complete package, and a lighter wallet.

Overall, this is a relatively well-built and detailed mock representation of real NVGs. It does its job well, and if it weren't for the lack of batteries or manuals, I would've given this product five stars.
