"The Mark 3 headset is a definite improvement over the less expensive Earmor headsets. Electronics are of a much higher quality: the microphones that pick up exterior sounds and speakers inside the ear muffs provide sensitive and crystal clear sound, and are very easily adjusted in volume even with gloves. Enhanced dynamic mic does a great job of filtering out peripheral noise and enhancing user's voice, thereby clarifying transmissions. External mics do the same thing and the result is less static and white noise from your surroundings. The ARC rail mounts are solid and click firmly into your preferred position. It comes with a headband mount as well, and this is how I chose to use this headset. My only complaint is the difficulty in changing over to the headband from the ARC rails. The included instructions are vague and leave out a VERY important step re: mounting the boom mic. This is because you must pull the steel wire from the headband completely out of the earmuff in order to mount the boom mic. Do this BEFORE mounting anything to avoid breaking the black plastic pins that attach the steel wire to the muffs. The wire comes out abruptly and I broke one of the plastic mounting pins as a result. Take your time and be methodical and all will be well. Great headset with professional quality sound for this price. Almost as good as my Sordins. Almost. Just need a little more attention to materials like these crucial mounting pins being plastic instead of steel, and I'd give them 5 stars.
