"Bought two of these sets for my sons at 13 and 14 years old. In the past bought each one of these sets, so we have a large collection of these Lego-like guns that helps teach them the mechanics as well as for fun.

I rate this particular set Gatling Gun set two stars for the following reasons:

Pros:
- fun with a slight challenge to build and to make it mechanically working;
- Nice teaching tool in building with mechanical features;
- Both boys are interested in learning to be a gunsmith and custom airsoft guns;
- can substitute some parts with real Lego and are compatible with Lego;
- decent price point when on sale

Cons:
- precision and quality control is lacking as various pieces do not connect well thus causing some delicate parts to break. Requires slight modifications ie sanding and gluing of parts to fit ;
- made in China is the reason for poor QC
- will be frustrating when parts don't fit properly or when they break/crack
