" So I got this rifle in the spr format and over all I'm happy with it. It's nice and heavy. The amount of detail that went into this replica is real nice. Except for the hop up, my rifle couldn't shoot 40ft with .25s out of the box. The stock has a little wobble on the tube but everything else is TIGHT. Had to force the jailbreak on to sit cosmetically correct no rework was needed just muscle
Pros:
All them cute boxed S's reminding you where you frivolous threw your money.
Heavy but not too front end heavy with the spr length
Gearbox is pretty decent and has a good rate of fire an 11.1v and a decent wind up (precocking disabled)
Cons:
Hop up all day long. Such a shame not be able to have a game ready gun after paying SO much like what's up with that? It's been an issue for a LONG time FIX IT!!! Really makes me really uneasy on what else QC is slipping on internally.
The stock that came with the rifle doesn't have a crazy amount of battery space and a little bit of wobble and no panel for quick access to the battery. I replaced it with a krytac alpha stock and its almost too snug (the pin doesn't rise enough to collapse without attempting to take off the stock but I keep mine in the same position) with that said the battery wires are a bit long and need to be folded after the battery is installed. I don't like the idea of having to force it bent over itself encouraging fraying.
On another note I get the open dust cover design to be shown as if it's in action but makes me weary of contaminates and something to snag on in storage. You can take this as either a con or a pro. I like the gold plate signifying the trademark and it'll look tacticool in photos.
I'm replacing the hop up and will be looking to an upgrade on the motor. The motor is decent and will get you through I just want my gun to have no excuses on being lighting fast without relying on intense precocking (but maybe I should). I will give this gun an honest review of 3.8 stars, should have been better, I shouldn't have to replace the hop up out of the box. Externals aside there 200$ guns that have WAY better hop but it's not a deal breaker just VERY disappointing. I'm not asking for a sniper just something that's field ready especially for the 400$+
" First off I want to say that for the most part I'm pretty satisfied with this rifle which I got in CQB/Black. Having the mosfet pre-installed was nice and definitely saved me the hassle of having to do it myself and void the warranty. Plus the quality and feel of the rest of the rifle feels pretty good. As one person mentioned there is no quick spring change so that's a bit of a bummer but definitely not a deal breaker. However when I chronoed the rifle it was under the listed minimum velocity by about 20 fps or so and without that quick spring change option that could potentially be an issue for you.
I also suspect there are some issues EMG has with manufacturing and/or shipping these as the rifle I received looked like someone had taken a razor-blade to the box. The included Jailbrake Muzzle did not fit properly onto the rifle and I had to do various metalwork on it to get it to eventually fit. Part of the reason you would presumably get this rifle is so that everything just works straight out of the box. Having the fit-and-finish be this poor is just bad QC.
On a final aside, the included magazine seems cheap and the way it's engineered it will never feed all the BBs; there will always been at least one stuck inside. If you're dropping this much money for a nice rifle I feel like they could have spent the extra $5-10 to include a better magazine.
