"Margaret,
Slide the weaver mount out a bit more before you tighten the screw. If the chip is pushed all the way in, some airsoft rails are slightly smaller and it won't clamp on tight. But it should be an easy fix. Don't make this item just a decoration, use it!

I like it over other M203 because it is very compact.

"If your M4 / G36 / AK has a 20mm rail it will fit.

20mm rails are standards for real guns too. It is a very basic system. Guns have 20mm rails, accessories mounts onto 20mm rails....(20mm is also sometimes referred to as "weaver") Knowing this will help you shop anywhere for accessories and any other stuff such as light, scope, laser....ect
