"Buy the o-rings too. These work good but I learned the hard way they do not work like real crush washers on an AR-15. They require the o-rings that are sold separately. The washers themselves do not “crush”; they rely on the o-ring to provide the necessary “give.” What you do is put the o-ring on first, then put the washer on backwards (usually the cone-shaped part goes towards the shoulder of the barrel but with these washers you place the cone shaped part towards the muzzle device). There is a recess in the barrel side of the washer that the o-ring will nest into. Once put together correctly this worked great and allowed me to get the muzzle device indexed properly and tightened down with the set screw.

Over all I am happy with the product, I just wish they were sold as sets with one washer and one o-ring, instead of separate packages of 5 each.
