"Yeah the other review wasn't kidding.

Got this receiver to turn the M70AB2 into a fixed stock M70B, after a LOT of filing down and fitting parts, i decided to test how durable the rear stock tang really is by smacking it against the ground - it took maybe 3 hits for it to break and crack and fall apart - but just the tang! I wasn't hitting it that hard

The rest of the receiver seems solid enough, though im not sure its steel, since its bare metal wouldn't react to cold bluing when I tried it.

If you are going to use this receiver, I highly recommend removing/replacing the rear stock trunnion

"This receiver has SEVERE issues with the stock assembly, and will snap over time. I'm unsure if it's a QA issue and or maybe I'm just unlucky, but right now I'm on my second receiver. the rest of the receiver is good, solid even, but for some reason the back plates that the stock attaches to snap after about a week of use.
