Let's face the facts, in today's day and age contrary to popular belief, size matters; it matters a lot. When your average pea-shooters just aren't scratching that itch and you desire a big, powerful, solid beast of a cannon then the Desert Eagle is just what you have been waiting for. If the word overkill puts a smile on your face, if you need to destroy your target and everything immediately around it with complete disregard to subtlety, if stealth is nothing more than an afterthought then you have found your perfect match for a side arm.
Developed in the late 1970's / early 1980's, Magnum Research and Israel Military Industries (IMI) wanted to venture into the magnum side arm market that was mostly dominated by revolver style weapons. What sets the Desert Eagle apart from any other magnum side arm is the fact that it is a semi-auto gas-operated pistol that functions more like a rifle than a pistol. The rifle style gas system allows for use of high pressure / high power cartridges that traditional semi-automatic pistol designs cannot handle. Easily one of the most recognizable and most iconic semi-automatic handguns of all time, this weapon has been featured in numerous movies, tv shows, and video games. It is easily one of the most intimidating pieces of hardware one can carry for their side arm.

"Really cool gun had a lot of fun with it but definitely need extra mags because it runs out quick when your having this much fun.

"So far, i've had no issues with this gun. Cycles greatly, cheap for a gun with a cerakote, and overall very nice construction. Only thing i wish this gun had would be a metal lower, and a tighter selector switch since mine becomes slightly loose over time, but is easily fixed with a coin for the long term, or your fingernails if you just want to be able to fix it for that very moment. So far, this gun has only jammed once for me, not much other complaints to be made.
PROS
- medium weight, easy to maneuver
- cheap (and good looking) cerakote, any scratch marks aren't visible unless disassembled (might be a con)
- balanced weight between grip and barrel (i dont see this as being a con to anyone)
CONS
- loose fire selector (easily fixable)
- very hard reassembly (i had to watch a tutorial on youtube since i didn't want to wrench on it)
- hard to find parts
overall a good gun in my opinion.

"I bought this gun because it looked really awesome and it was gold, who doesn't want to gold gun that was one of the only reason why I bought itnot to mention that it's also a freaking desert eagle that is select fire. Also the gun is really fun to fire, the blowback is real hard and it is pretty heavy at two and a half pounds and it's a big gun at almost 11 in. the only real fear I have is dropping the gun because the frame is plastic and it's pretty heavy but the plastic seems to be pretty durable. One of the other problems I had with it was the seams on the frame and the fact that the mag release was really hard to work and the mag would sometimes slip out or would not stick in. I've yet to Chrono it but the specifications on this page says that shoots around 330-340 while on the normal desert eagle it shoots to about 390. overall it's a goodbye and I would recommend it even though it's $100 over the normal one you're getting cerakote cover for $100 and that's a good deal.
