"Bought this during a Christmas sale from a popular competitor to Evike. Sale price was $150 and I feel like that was an amazing deal. Full metal receiver with fantastic internals made a great value for the price I paid. I'm not sure I would pay regular price for this model. The internals are fantastic but needed a regrease and reshim. The stock shimming was extremely tight and the gun had a very screechy sound when firing. I added a T238 brushless motor, changed the bucking to a PDI W-hold style, and ditched the mini-tamiya for a t-style connector (Deans). I can confirm the ECS is compatible with brushless motors and the MAXX hop up fits the barrel and upper receiver. I tried using a Krytac hop unit but the arm ended up breaking. If you want to install your own MOSFET trigger unit then you'll need a different gearbox. This is a great gun if you can get it on sale and are willing to do a little bit of tinkering with it.

"The trigger and ETU on this is the best part, It shoots farther than the compact M4s usually do, the fire slector is very crisp between modes, and it is plenty responsive with 7.4v lipos or 11.1v.
Some things arent perfect but arent deal breakers either; I found that the dust cover opens if you bump the gun sometimes and that the battery compartment can be hard to open with just your fingers.
