Arcturus X C.A.T. Versatile-5S PCC Airsoft AEG Rifle

"Great, solid first gun. Survived multiple rough outdoor games. Shoots around 360-370fps on .20g BBs. Easily taken apart with the split gearbox design, just make sure the gears are cycles all the way and the nozzle is protruded all the way out of the gearbox or it will give you lots of trouble. Be careful when changing the spring, you may have trouble fitting the upper and lower receivers together. Overall a solid, slightly lightweight construction with many options for modification. I would also look into the swappable magwells for versatility. Definitely planning on slapping a good optic and grip on mine and swapping for a stronger spring, I believe the gearbox is string enough to take it.

Lightweight
Great ergonomics for use with paintball mask.
Stock is surprisingly sturdy.
Nice tactile trigger and ambi safety
Stock mag feeds well
Mechanical pre cooking works nicely and easy to adjust.
Split gearbox is handy
Super quiet with a suppressor
Decent rof
Hopup is sufficient. I upgraded to a quantum bucking and it shoots 30s well.

Bad:
M4 magwell is picky with magazines.

Low velocity out of the box

Poor compression, has white nozzle with oring that is essentially useless.

Stock motor is horribly weak. Would not pull a m115 spring. I swapped in a krytac 20k and pull a m120 but still only at 1.21j. It's getting a tight bore barrel.


I couldn't separate the lower gearbox. The selector gears would not separate. Not sure how to remove it to review the gears and trigger.
