"I have had two sets of solink gears and both times the bevel gear dimensions have required close to 1.0mm of shims on the bottom of the bevel due to thicker tooth dimensions. In both cases I have checked gear play with no shims between the motor and top half of the gear box and see .05mm - .14mm of play leaving little to no room for a shim.

This in turns pushes the spur gear and sector gear higher to get decent engagement and creates a problem with the sector gears top face interacting with the tappet plate and potentially causes issues with the delay chip rubbing against tappet plate slots. This also leads to problems with most centered piston tooth racks. Perhaps using the laylax offset piston is the move with these gears.

Not bad gears but be warned I have had 2/2 sets of gears sit high (right)
