"Great out of box Hi-capa. If you don't want to do upgrades, this is one of the best ones you can get and for a lot cheaper and headache free over manually upgrading them.

You will still need to maintain it however, no GBB is maintenance free. I highly suggest the first thing you do when you get it is to take it apart and apply small amounts (but a liberal amount) of PTFE grease on metal-on-metal contact parts, especially the slide and spring (all sides), and on the hammer face that is pushed back when the slide cycles. Apply silicon grease/oil to the piston assembly as well, ESPECIALLY if you run dry green gas. This will ensure that the gun is generally smooth and reduces friction of the components against each other and reduces wear and makes for a quieter gun when racking it.

I also suggest doing that every 2-3 sessions to ensure maximum longevity.

Some things

-left handed (right side) safety is loose and flabby after 200 shots or so. It still locks and unlocks fine but will silently wiggle around when not engaged. The screw holding it in was maybe stripped from the factory as none of my screwdriver heads fit it at all, which means I have to find a solution to ensure it remains adjusted. Apparently this is typical of KJWs, unfortunately detracts from the overall score.

-included OEM magazine is mediocre. low efficiency, difficult to load, but fits well, good for stimming with the gun. Suggest buying TM mags instead. BE WARNED, TM MAGS WHEN COLD MAY NOT BE RETAINED UNLESS YOU "SLAP" THEM IN MODESTLY. Get used to double and triple checking they are retained. This is the second thing that detracts it from being a 5 star.

-OOTB it is meant for right handed users. with gloves on, it's quite easy as a lefty to accidentally hit the mag release. Without gloves it's completely fine for my hands. Be careful if you're going to field this as a left handed user. Does not detract from score.

-orange paint on tip means applying the mock compensator will take a lot of force, necessitating me to use a screwdriver to leverage the compensator and twist it down. Acetone might help make it easier but I did not have any on hand - I instead used 99% isopropyl which seemed to help soften the orange paint and allow the compensator to twist and strip the paint off as it went. Once you do this, take it off and CLEAN the bits of orange paint chunks, they WILL get everywhere on or even in the gun if you don't! Does not detract from score.
