EMG x CYMA Platinum Complete Version 2 Gearbox w/ GATE ASTER MOSFET for Airsoft AEGs

"Excellent product but one important issue:

The gearbox is rock solid, super sturdy quality gears, I love that I don’t have to do any of the work of installing the gate aster and wiring. For anyone wondering , this is the lowest end version of the gate aster (v1, not v2). The spring that came with mine ended up shooting about 355fps with a decent brushed motor and 11.1 lipo. One surprising issue is that the gears came with waaaay too much grease on them. The gate aster has sensors very close to the sector gear and I had to take apart the gear box multiple times till I learned that the reason my gun wasn’t shooting was that there was grease all over the sensors causing them to stop working.

The product is excellent but evike, please be more intentional with where and how much grease is put onto the gears.

"I love this combo. The platinum gearbox is such a well-made and tuned gearbox. Runs super smooth and consistent. The GATE Aster mosfet is just the cherry on top. Make sure you have the proper link-cable to hook it up to your PC or phone. The plethora of settings/adjustments really takes this gearbox to another level. By far the easiest, drop-in solution, upgrade I've made to a rifle yet. 5/5 Stars

"It seems to be the same as the normal EMG platinum gearbox but with the gate aster installed, took a bit to get the mosfet set up but thats just user error. trigger is snappy and rate of fire is around 30RPS. I put the gearbox in a double bell mk12 reciever and had to file a couple things down on the reiever and gearbox to get them to fit but thats going to happen with everything that isn't from the same manufacturer. I do wish they came with the cyma motor but my vfc one works fine in it
The only con I see is it's good value and want to buy more of them now lol

"Excellent product but a couple of things I experienced out of the box:

The gearbox is super sturdy and has quality gears, my first Mosfet so I was very intrigued with how it would work, came with the Aster SX V2 if anyone was curious. Installed it and had issues out the box didn't calibrate properly, took it out and had a ton of grease with plenty of it slathered over the optical sensors. I cleaned them off, reinstalled then it calibrated perfectly without issue. Started firing only clocked in at 260ish fps, which didn't fall in line with other testimonials, took it out of my replica again poked around the compression was horrible and leaking out of the generic plastic nozzle, so I changed that to another same length factory one I had kicking around with an o-ring, now it's around 270-280ish which is better but still falls short of other testimonials. Otherwise the product is very well put together and I love the features of the aster, maybe I just got an oddball which is shooting so low in fps, but it doesn't bother me due to my field limits being 400fps max.

"It's a great gearbox, but it needs to be calibrated out of the box. I had some troubles and am going to just buy a usb cable like everybody else recommends. It shouldn't be this difficult to set up a mosfet with a trigger, maybe if they calibrated it before shipping it out, that would be better for everybody.
