"I ordered a black MDR-X and received it recently. Box states it is a V2 and it seems to have all the V2 parts. The rifle is cool looking. The balance is rear heavy, which is okay. Does not have a built in front sight like an M4 does. Not a big deal if you are going with a red dot, but if you wanted to use iron sights there is an added expense of buying a front sight in addition to a rear sight. The extra large barrel covers sold by Evike fit over the front but anything smaller does not.

Really not a bad rifle. However, it is not in the same realm as their sniper rifles. The Silverback SRS and HTI are some of the best sniper rifles out there. So if you go into this expecting the same level above the rest… you might be disappointed. This is an AEG and it is good, but not great.

I feel that the cost is a bit high for what you get.
