"This is a fantastic piece of equipment. I will confess that I actually purchased this to try it out on a real 5.56mm firearm, as the folding brace that I owned was coming unlocked during firing. I figured that for the price, if it didn't work, it was no big loss.

Well, when it arrived, it seemed odd that the back of the "buffer tube" was open, but I suppose that with a stock or brace attached, it might be useful for storing a couple of extra batteries or something, but either way, since I was using a bufferless system, it didn't affect function at all. And it felt solid. Heavier than I expected, but really, that's not a bad thing at all.

Installation was a snap; two hex head screws lock it in place on the rail, and it's ready for action. And let me tell you, it really was ready to go. Rapidly emptying a magazine with semi-auto fire did not make this assembly budge a millimeter! If anything, it's a little tough to get this thing to fold. I could not ask any better from a "real" gun part! And it looks really good, too!

The only answer was buying multiple parts and putting them together. Not what I wanted. Then I found the EMG adapter complete with buffer tube! They were out of stock and I had to wait but it was SO worth it! Fit & finish is perfect and I have had ZERO issues with it. In folded position, it holds tight against the weapon, no flopping around. Open, it holds tight, adjusts easily and allows for rock solid hold.

"As Jamari mentioned, it is indeed VERY difficult to fold the stock tube. I think the reason is that you have to push the tube up to unlock the folding mechanism, rather than pushing it down, so it requires a lot of force to complete the folding process. Otherwise, for the price, the stock tube does serve its purpose well. It’s sturdy, good quality, and once it's on the rail, there's no sensible wobble.
