Cybergun FN SCAR® H CQB Licensed Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle by VFC (Color: Black)

"This Scar H is an awesome replica! I was able to tune the NPAS nozzle to shoot about 315 FPS, which is perfect for indoors. The recoil is quite nice, and the overall build is beautiful! This is probably my 2nd favorite gun in my arsenal of VFC GBBrs. If they came out with a gen 3/V3 SCAR H, I would buy it in a heartbeat. But this gen 2 system still works very well! The hopup is actually pretty convenient to adjust. Range and accuracy is pretty standard for a GBBR. I own a V3 AR by VFC, and I still prefer this gun over it just because it feels so amazing to shoot, and because it looks so beautiful. Some things to be aware of:
1) The inner barrel actually goes to the very tip of the orange flashhider, so plan on either putting in a 1.5 inch barrel extension, a SCAR flashhider, or as in my case, a suppressor (I use the Acetech Predator S with a tracer, works and fits perfectly).
2) If you put too much pressure on the stock, it may fold on you. Idk why VFC made the stock latch piece slightly angled on the flat side, but because of that the stock can fold on you. I only had it happen once during a game.
3) Buffer is a known weak point. I replaced mine with a black variable buffer.
4) Gas efficiency is not as good as a VFC V3 system, but isn't bad either. Reliability is maybe slightly less than that of a V3 system.

Other than that, I think you will enjoy this gun a lot! If you're debating on getting a WE SCAR upgrades versus this, I will say the VFC is definitely worth getting over the WE version (why waste money upgrading/replacing parts that break quick on the WE version when you can just get the VFC version? The VFC version will last long and perform well...and will be probably cheaper than getting a WE and dumping a bunch of money in upgrades...but thats just my opinion.)

"I had bought this rifle a while ago, works great and shoots accurately. People usually know they have been hit with this I have noticed. This rifle has good recoil and gets through a mag on one gas fill. The only con I have for this is if you play with American Milsim you can't run this or a least I could not, due to it shooting around 450 at around 80 degrees.

"I really liked this gun, shipping was pretty fast. been super impressed, runs great even in cold or dirty conditions.
Pros
Take down of the gun for cleaning and lubing is supper easy
the monolithic pic rail is great for basically any optic, ive run everything from red dots to LPVOs,
the selector is super resistant making it near impossible to accidentally switch to full auto with out meaning to
the cheek riser is really nice, and can be adjusted for different face gear and masks.
the hop up is insane, works really well. just make sure you have the right hex key
i was running this in an outdoor war, and it got all muddy up but still ran flawlessly.
Cons
irons are not great, but throw a red dot on and that problem is solved.
it is a little gassy, but that is to be expected with a blow back gbbr.
the mags are so expensive.

"People say this gun doesn't have aftermarket support when MLEmart exists for this gun

"The most reliable and fun fun I have ever purchased. Everything about it is perfect or near perfect, A lot of my friends have fallen in love with my rifle and always ask to use it for the next round and it shoots like a dream, if you are contemplating getting this gun or are a gun nut like I am, this is a must buy, everything down to the takedown is almost exactly like the real SCAR.

PROS:
-Gas efficiency, this thing can go through about 2 mag fills worth of ammo before a refill
-Accuracy, once you get it sighted in and the hop up adjusted, this thing is a laser for about 100ish meters
-Feel, the recoil and manipulation of the rifle is incredible and will help intensify a gunfight
There’s a bunch of other little details like the trademarks and the modularity too that make this rifle that much more better
CONS:
-Mags are usually out of stock
-You don’t have it
-Lack of parts to buy, though once mine breaks, I’ll just get another one it’s that good, but if you want to be able to repair your gun if it breaks, you should buy the WE Tech one, it’s just as good and has lots of aftermarket parts

"Absolutely fantastic platform. The only major issue I've had is the stock likes to fold in on me during use. However, it was erasing people out the box. This gun hits hard, kicks great, and already I've had people tell me that when they hear it - they get scared. It's a monster, a big beautiful monster that tells the field who's gonna be responsible for welts in the morning!

Use heavier BBs, it expels a lot of gas. Using lighter BBs will sway off target or shatter them - so keep that in mind. This Scar obliterates people, so it will likely be classified as a DMR - not an AR. Keep that in mind. If you do get a chance to fire full auto - well - it's an experience to savor.

As of this review, it is very difficult to find spare mags for this platform. They are out of stock in multiple stores, except some shadier ones. You can, however, use SR28 mags. They are identical - and work just as well as the magazine it comes with.

"This thing is awesome.

10/10 fit and finish.

Shoots lasers with .36g bbs, hard kick and a strong recoil spring for out of the box.

Dosnt come with replacement metal flash hider like some soft air guns do. Just FYI

Careful of reciprocating changing handle, it hurts.

Decent over seas upgrade support if you dont mind premium shipping.

"I have both the vfc and we tech scar. I personally like the vfc one better. The hop-up is super easy to adjust. It feels good and looks better. The one downside is that when I disassembled the rifle to swap the charging handle to the left the lower and upper took a little convincing to go back together, it could just be my gun. It does have a npas built into the nozzle which means you can adjust your FPS. On the other hand the we tech one is about 150 bucks. The mags are also cheaper than the we tech ones which is also a bonus. Overall a good gbbr. Pro tip if you put the charging handle on the left side instead of the right you reduce your chances of hitting your thumb.

"I have had mine (black version) for almost 2 years now. I haven’t used it in game yet, but just target practice. It kicks very hard and sounds great. The only downside to me is the cost of the mags. And the fact it jumped like 60$. I would recommend to anyone who wants a realistic feeling airsoft gun!

"Has the BEST sound shoots hot out of the box

"Just used this gun in a big event that is probably some of the roughest terrain you can find, and this was the perfect gun for the job. Long range was the name of the game and running .32s with the properly set hop-up made this thing shoot lasers up to about 200ft or more. With .32s the Chrono said I was shooting about 420-450. As the event went on I found myself trusting the gun more as I learned the range potential this gun has, don't let the short barrel fool you. I would have used .25s or .28s, but even with the hop up turned down they would still curve up, so .32 seemed to be the magic number. The shorter barrel made for a more comfortable weight than what I feel a longer barreled version would. I ran a simple red dot with no zoom and was hitting my mark nearly every time. Now that I've jumped back and forth a little I'll give some pros and cons:

Pros:

High accuracy

Long range

Rugged and easy to strip and clean (I recommend cleaning and lubricating as often as possible, I cannot stress how important it is to lube this gun)

Realism 10/10 besides the mags being 30 rounds instead of real steel 20

Likes propane about as much or better than green gas, just be sure to lubricate and oil the mag every now and then

Even though it lacks in ammo, its performance almost outweighs that

Ambidextrous charging handle can be moved to left or right side of gun as well as ambidextrous select fire switch

Has a reciprocating handle with the open bolt system and has a very satisfying sound when firing and may scare players near you

CONS

Has a reciprocating handle, I only got my thumb twice on it while firing and it HURTS

Mags are only 30 rounds, but makes playing a little more of a challenge ( I enjoyed loading fresh mags and slapping that handle tbh)

Needs lots of maintenance because there's lots of moving parts that need a good amount of lubricant between them or you'll have lots of metal on metal contact and lots of metal shavings ( some are normal due to the gun breaking in)

Conclusion:

This gun turned a lot of heads on the field once they heard it fire. In almost all areas other than rate of fire, this gun can just about keep up with guns running hpa and high dollar guns, usually after a big game I have the feeling to upgrade some parts but I genuinely want to leave it the way it is. Btw switching this gun to hpa sounds like too much of a hassle because due to the fill valve being concealed by the mag well, you'd have to plug it, and then re-drill the mag in an accessable place for a hpa hook up, and then comes the difficulty of reloading by detaching the mag from the gun and hpa. But I'm no expert and you guys always seem to find a way so have at it lol

"Ran around 200 rounds through it, forgot a screw driver so hop up unit was unoptimized, but overall great replica, Chambers and bolt catch and all that stuff, can select to have the gun lock open when the magazine goes dry or have it keep going on the remaining gas if you want to waste some of the gas in the mag when it goes empty. Recoil will make it very uncomfortable in your shoulder after running it for a couple hours but to be expected. Mags didn't have any issues, but then again they cost 50 bucks each. Metal upper receiver plastic lower and stock metal internals come prelubed. For 350 dollars it's really good and looks exactly like a scar 17
by Manuel C. on 08/31/2021
"This MK17 / Scar H is great worth the price the rate of fire is very good and the upper receiver is metal and the lower reciever is polymer only bad thing that I hate is in the mag which is the mag fill valve the external fill valve o ring they put is bad and will make the gas spit out when filling the mag with the gas but its easy fix I have a bunch of better external fill valve o ring

"gun works well, shoots 430 with .28g bbs, really fun to use on open outdoor fields. impressive range might go up in weight for the bbs
by Caleb S. on 12/24/2019
"This MK17 is a great gun overall with both pros and cons. I would recommend when disassembling as well as assembling to use a cloth when tapping out pins from the gun to remove the upper receiver which will prevent scratches on pins over time. The gun is quite stiff out of the box but will wear into comfort over time. When in use, I would recommend keeping your fingers free from the reciprocating bolt. I definitely would prefer this MK17 to the WE MK17.
Pros:
-Exact replica.
-Accurate.
-Magazines are solid and fit in the gun sturdily and tight, but will slide in smoother over time.
-Heavy kick.
-Solid build overall. The exterior can handle some wear and abuse, but I would recommend avoiding extreme situations.
-Efficient magazines. I can get 45+ shots out from one mag when filled properly. Some magazines may be more or less efficient, however.
-Solid rails.
-Hop-up is easy to use and could be adjusted without any tools.
-Ambidextrous for the most part.
-Good fire rate.
-Magazines do not leak even after long use.
Cons:
-The hop-up unit. It does not click distinctly as I would prefer. It is also located on the exterior of the gun which to my preference should be inside. This is my opinion.
-The magazine becomes a bit prone to user error when used over time.
-The magpul on the magazines slides off easier than I would like which is my opinion.
-No foregrip included in the picture.
-Barrel length is a bit small in my opinion, but it can be fixed with a flash hider.
-The front iron sight was astonishingly stiff out of the box. Over time it did wear to my preference.
-When assembling after cleaning, the upper receiver was very stiff and requires quite a bit of force to place back with the lower receiver.
Overall a solid MK17. Although not as accurate as my AEGs, it has potential. I would not recommend this to small individuals, but otherwise a great airsoft gun.
