The 11-1 was designed to allow for the ergonomic placement of L3 Harris pressure pads at the 11-O'Clock or 1-O'Clock positions on a handguard without interfering with the placement of items such as laser/illuminators at the 12-O'Clock position on a handguard. Additionally, thanks to the design of the 11-1, should a pressure switch need to be replaced, it is not necessary to remove accessories mounted at the 12-O'Clock position on the rail in order to do so.
