" I'm loving this gun. Been using it as my primary for a couple of months now. Totally stock and it still performs very well. It feels solid, it shoots accurately, and coming with both an indoor and outdoor spring is a nice addition. There is some minor wobble on certain parts, like the right safety selector and the stock, but the former is unnoticeable to me since I don't really use the right safety, and the latter is only noticeable when you're focused on making the stock wobble. Otherwise, this gun is great! Perfect for people like me who want something a bit more unique than just another M4 but still want the benefits of that platform.
Some things I do want to note though:
First, the battery. The connector is in the handguard and, as such, space is limited. I've found shorter stick batteries to fit perfectly, but I've been mainly using my small Matrix brick 7.4v LiPo (the kind of battery you'd use for an Ares Amoeba Honey Badger) which does fit, but barely. Also, yes, I did say 7.4v. I play at an indoor arena and I had issues with the gearbox locking up when using an 11.1v LiPo with the indoor spring. However, I have had no issues using an 11.1v with the outdoor spring and using a 7.4v with the indoor spring. So, if you want to be safe, consider what type of fields you're playing at to decide what battery to get (or just get both, why not).
The other thing is magazine compatibility. I don't have a huge mag selection, but I can say that this will not seat KWA K120s. They will not lock into the mag well. I've been using EMG l5 AWMs as my main magazines (feed perfectly and look cool). From my testing, I can also say that all of my STANAG-style magazines fit and feed fine.
If you want an MCX, I say go for it. I've been loving mine and I'm sure you will too!
" Absolutely phenomenal gun! I purchase a few new guns a year and this by far is my favorite! Out of the box was great, with a few upgrades it became the best gun I have.
" Solid all around gun, the weight and durability of this gun are certainly great. Only things I've noticed are , it may perform poorly in outdoor environments when the temperature is below 30 F° due to the almost full metal construction the internals get cold, the orange break was awful to remove as most people have this issue, my selectfire wasn't quite made correctly and is a little bit loose on one side but doesn't cause any issues and the battery space is surely lacking a bit.
This gun is great out of the box but can definitely become a monster with some internal upgrades, for the price you could get or build something better but you pay for luxury of the item itself which most people understand.
