The M-1 gas mask was issued to all military personnel and civilians from the late 1960s to late 1995. The mask was used during the entirety of the Yugoslav wars. It is a direct copy of the US M9A1, following a trend of that time along with the Finnish M/61 and Swedish Skyddsmask 51.
Like the M9, it uses a 60mm thread for the filter. The mask is made of a light greenish blue rubber, and uses a light O.D metal for the lense rims. The filter is the same color as the lense rims. The mask also uses a very simple code along the cheek that shows the mask's production year, batch number, and number of masks produced in that batch. 78-002-007, for example, would mean that the mask was produced in 1978 in batch number 2, and that it is one of the seven masks were produced in that batch. The mask uses white fabric tape to help seal around the exhale and inhale ports, whereas the US M9A1 uses a black fabric tape.

(Write a review) "Mine arrived not even a week ago and already the bottom rubber loop that the straps are connected too has already ripped and the other side is starting to go aswell.
Definitely a old mask that's been sitting for years but with all that said.
The internal design is very wonderful.
The intake is sealed of apart from two gaps at the bottom of each eye whole too make sure your exhale doesn't fog it up, and the inner mouth price is too garentee that.
It will fog but for as long as the space between your breaths.
It fits snug and has nicely adjustable straps, can get away with a some facial hair and still have a nice airseal
Speaking of Wich, only time you may notice a problem with airseal is if you don't have it strapped properly and you look down. The weight of the filter will cause a bit of gap, Wich shouldn't be a issue unless your staring at your shows often.
Eye ports are nice and wide so your field of view isnt compromised too much.
All n all its a very nice mask for the price, especially since the filters included, bit shame for how old the rubber is and how quick it came too the tear point but easily fixed. Write a Review
