"I got this gun about 3 weeks ago and played 2 games with it and It is wounderful. It shoots a good 388fps right outta the box and is very comfortable to hold.

Pros:
Light weight
good sights (without scope)
Good fps
Good rof

Cons:
Battery space
Stock is a pain to adjust
Scope came broke in mine

Overall this gun is good in my opinion I recomend getting a butterfly type battery fits ok I guess oh and another good thing is that you don't need the scope or iron sights the carring handle is the overall best sight. Hope to see src come out with more amazing guns.

"- SRC XM8 -

I got this gun because I needed to replace my G36C AEG and I needed a field gun. When I took it out of the box, the gun was comfortable, the metal scope that came with the gun was really neat but it took time to adjust. The body of the gun is pretty nice, metal cocking lever, abs plastic body, 6-position adjustable stock and the nice paint. (I got the Tan one) The metal hop up unit is awesome and it is easy to adjust. This gun is pretty heavy and I recommend buying a sling. I didn't like how the stock and the scope was kinda wobbly. First time I pulled the stock I made it come off but I attached it back with no problem. The flip up sights we're handy but I did not like how the rear sights were pretty small. The accuracy of the gun is not perfect but still does the job in range.

Pros:
- Design
- Realistic weight
- Built in metal scope
- Paint Job
- Fire Rate

Cons:
- Wobbly Stock
- Wobbly Scope
- Scope hard to adjust
- Rear Sights are bad
- Gigantic orange tip

8/10

"THIS GUN KICKS ASS!!!!I used a poor mans chrono and it went through and through so this guns gotta have around 380-410 fps.Reccomend getting a 9.6v intellect 1600mah butterfly battery with this though.

Pros:
Great fps and rof (9.6v and .2s )
Excellent Scope!(Better than AUG)
Uses G36 Mags(Easy to clamp together)
Metal orange flash hider(No Joke!)
Not chinese!(AKA not a piece o' crap)

Cons:
Battery Compartment is an optical illusion(it looks like it can hold a large but it can only hold nunchuck and mini batteries)
Stock(Can only pull it fully out and put it back fully in)
Non Metal Body(Not a problem for me but for some it is)

Highly recommend this product for any airsofter beginner or proffesional!

"I’ve had this gun for over 2 years now. Not happy with it, and that’s not easy for me to say. I tried very hard to love the gun. Out of the box, the performance is just mediocre for $250. I put $150 worth of upgrades into the FPS and hopup, and it’ll fire fast and accurate now, but you can find similar (if not better) performance in some guns out-of-the-box to this gun when you’ve spent lots of time upgrading it without the undeniably poor build quality. The gun’s externals (excluding the barrel) are entirely polymer. Polymer is not necessarily a bad thing, but in this particular gun it is. It creaks, wobbles and shakes. The seam holding the stock together broke the day the gun arrived at my door. It was an easy fix with superglue but shouldn’t have happened nonetheless. The battery compartment is cramped. It’ll fit an 8.4 V battery but it’ll take some prying. Another issue with the compartment is the one incredibly flimsy pin that it swings open on. It miraculously hasn’t broken on me yet, but I know it’s just a matter of time. It comes with a built in scope, which I will say is very useful and a nice addition. The gun itself is gorgeous— the reason I got it, and every player will be looking at you on the field, but it’s just not worth the hassle you’re going to put into just keeping the gun in one piece. Just recently, the selector switch just snapped off for a reason I’ve yet to deduce. On top of that, the switch is pretty wobbly, and I’ve been hit numerous times because it’s snapped back into the safety position just from my general movement during games. I don’t want to sound pessimistic about the gun, and I certainly don’t hate it. It’s gotten me lots of attention on the field and it has pulled its weight as my main weapon playing airsoft, but it just won’t last. Put simply, it’s outdated, and you’re better off spending a similar price on a more modern AEG.

Pros:
Looks incredible and unique
Comes with scope
Can make a good project gun for tech-savvy players
Relatively light and balanced

Cons:
Outdated poor build quality
relatively slow trigger response
Selector switch is faulty
Flimsy and tight battery compartment
Mediocre performance out of the box
Not much upgradability because it’s so unusual

"Listen...... idk if everyone who wrote their reviews here bought this as their first gun....... but this gun is close to false advertisement..... I was missing a mag in my box.... the gun feels like if you squeeze it too hard it will crack, stock is almost impossible to move, but when you do get it to move you wonder if you’re gonna break it, scope is mediocre at best, it shoots okay...... no info about the flash hider.......... to be honest I’d like 70 dollars back cause this gun is not I repeat is NO WORTH 250 ..... there are so many other guns for the same price you can get that are light years ahead of this ......... the only reason I’m not returning this is cause I don’t want to go through the process ...... but the most this gun should be is 180 250 is an insult and a joke and just purely offensive..... this is the first time I’ve ever had an issue with evike.... I can not get over how cheap this gun is.... go pick up one of Wal marts “ High end “ guns and it’s basically this ..... I feel like I got ripped off .... reinforced polymer !? Are you kidding !? I already chipped a piece of the barrel trying to remove the flash hider...... do your self a favor ....... buy this if you want a gun that looks cool, don’t buy it cause it’s a fantastic gun because Jesus man it is not........ this is my honest review..... I spent 30 more dollars in a Kwa and it makes this gun look like a toys r us gun. I hate to diss a gun I love but I’m also not going to lie .......

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

"its modern, and alien space type of model. Its heavier than I thought yet manageable, its weak on the FPS its more a low end 350 FPS, and the shoulder extender is very hard to pull and push, and if you pull too hard it will pop off.

"I love the XM8 & am glad that a version of it as an Airsoft gun is available at all, but after using it once in a while over the past few years, I’m very disappointed in the quality of this gun.

The good:
1.) The main body of the included scope is shaped to fit the gun, which looks really good at least.
2.) The rear flip up sight works perfectly well.
3.) The carry handle is sturdy enough to be usable.
4.) The firing mechanism has held up to use without any modification or need for disassembly level maintenance.
5.) The magazine catch with it’s extended lever is well made & very ergonomic.
6.) The gun is completely ambidextrous & works well for me using it left handed.
7.) The inclusion of a 2nd magazine is nice, & the interlocking lugs on the sides of both magazines have held up to a lot of use without snapping off.

The bad:
1.) The adjustable stock is weak. It can be pushed in without pressing the button using what feels to be about 15-20lbs of force. I’m also worried to adjust it too often because it feels like the position detents will probably wear out fast.
2.) The internal parts of the scope aren’t well made. It doesn’t hold a zero and the adjustments are so sloppy I can’t tell if they even work.
3.) The fire selector felt sloppy out of the box, & the detents wore out very fast, making it honestly difficult to feel where it’s supposed to click into semi-auto, as well as full-auto since there is enough play in the switch for it to move past the detent.
4.) There is no separation between the battery compartment & the free-floating barrel, so the included nunchuck batteries press up on the barrel enough to move it around & shift the zero of the gun with every single battery change. I even load the batteries in a specific position to minimize their contact with the barrel, but the contact is unavoidable.
5.) The plastic parts shift around & don’t stay fit against each other for long. They regularly drift apart anywhere from 1/32” to 1/16”, even though I regularly check the screws to make sure they’re tightened down snug.
6.) The foldable front sight has a weak spring under it & isn’t fit very well. It takes several attempts of pressing the button to get it to flip up because of how much wobble it has combined with the weak spring, and it’s so loosely fit that it leans significantly far to the left, making it unusable for aiming.

Overall, $250 is way too much money for this low of a level of quality. I could buy an actual gun for the same price, & it would be guaranteed to be sturdy built. If I’m paying the same price for a *toy* gun, then it’s not unreasonable to expect it to be built well enough that I wouldn’t need to use it with particularly soft & cautious care, but this XM8 is built so weak that that’s precisely what it needs in order to avoid breaking it more than what wear has done to it.
The XM8 is still fun to use at least, despite the build quality, & as a gun nerd I love the ergonomic design. I really wish I could get 2 more of these for my brothers who have become big fans of the gun after using mine, but at that asking price, all 3 of us agree that it’s sadly not worth it.

"I wish I had more good to say about this gun. First off, it looks great, it feels great (especially if you replace the scope with a little red dot), and it's really one of the only options out there if you want the fantastic fishgun.

Other than that, the flash hider came crooked, as was the front sight, but tilted in a different direction so it wasn't just the barrel being misaligned, and I have found no satisfactory way to fix it thus far. The bottom of the shell encasing the stock also splits because it is just smooth plastic pegs holding it in place, but you could fix it with superglue if you felt so inclined. If you don't, the stock will inevitably start collapsing on you at the slightest pressure because the force on it's latch system will push the shell apart. Just don't be a fool like me and leave the stock in when you glue it. Luckily I left it in my most comfortable position.

If you buy this, pray that the QC gods find you in their favor.

"Despite being a huge XM8 fan, this gun has more problems than features.

1. Right out of the box, the buttstock is broken. The plastic outer housing is too weak to hold any pressure in your shoulder, so it splits open and fully retracts the stock. had to use tape to fix.

2. The upper part of the foregrip is the same way. Flimsy, and splitting.

3. the sight that comes with it has practically no eye relief. You have to be right up on it for it to be even remotely useful.

Now, here comes the best part.

After using the gun in ONE skirmish, two major problems had already developed.

4. The fire selector wouldn't work on semi, only auto.

5. The gun had already stripped and gear, and wouldn't shoot anymore.

Last time I buy SRC.

On a better, note, the magazines are nice, and the duckbill flash hider look great on my M4.

"The worst pice of garbage ive ever got, its is poorly constructed and will fall apart from use, its battery compartment is way to small and after only 2 days using it it simply firing altogether.
