"I absolutely love this gun.

Extremely reliable
No wires
Hard recoil

Just a word of advice do a tdc hop up mod change the hand guard to a dope rail system and inner barrel. and this gun will bring you nothing but pleasure.

Love love. Been using heavy for 2 years zero issues. It’s features all over my YouTube channel THe Real deal Airsoft Gameplay.

This rifle is so loud and fun to play with.

"What is the length of the outer barrel
by Nicky C. on 11/18/2016
"This gun right out of the box is amazing. It shoots fast and has a tight grouping. this gun is made in the usa which is a plus. I had a small leak and i sent it to tippman, they honored there lifetime warrenty and fixed it and even checked everything else out. You can buy the tippman asa adapter so you can run a regular sized hose or direct connect the tank to the gun. If you get this gun make sure you install a tightbore barrel to increase your fps. I added a magpul stock, a valken red dot, suppresor, and a beta magazine and its just like an lmg

"I've owned many airsoft rifles. This one is elite!

Pros:
No batteries
Reliable and accurate for out of box
Sounds and feels great
Everything you want

Cons:
Rail screws loosen with a fore grip. Had to locktite them. No big deal
Sometimes the fire selector switch gets stuck between safe and semi

"This thing is da bomb!

Pros:
Well built
Fun to shoot
Can run off a $30 C02 tank. No expensive regulator needed!
Both GBB and HPA
Really light
Great flip up iron sights

Cons
Wobbly stock
Polymer rail (I didn't like it but that's my opinion)
Hop up isn't super consistent ($10 after market part can fix that)

Get it. It's a great platform. The only mandatory thing you'll need to get is a replacement for the "nub" that comes stock. It isn't consistent. But seriously, 11/10 would buy again.

"This is a great gun. I definitely recommend getting it.

Pros:
Full Metal
Has good weight but not too heavy
Adjustable fps/rof
Hpa
Still accurate on a bad inner barrel
Reliable

Cons:
Bad inner barrel

"This rifle was all I expected it to be! Alot of people say that their trigger box is malfunctioning, so I do believe that that is a common problem. However, even if you do have this problem, just send Tippmann a quick email and they will send you a brand new replacement no questions asked!!! They have great customer service and a 1 year warrenty, so don't worry about the malfunctions, as those can easily be fixed. This gun's kick is not the greatest, but you can feel it. It is also quite loud, Similar to a WE M4 GBBR. The gun is also internally regulated, which means you don't have to spend another $100 to get another regulator!!! If you want something with kick, but don't want the unreliability of a GBBR, or the expensiveness of the Daytona system, then this is for you!!!!!! First upgrades recommend: 1. New inner barrel 2. New rail 3. Stock 4. Sights

"I LOVE THIS GUN

Pros:
Full metal
Frekin sick recoil
Hpa
Great range stock
Good price for a hpa
LOUD
Cons:
Kinda pricey mags if you want to use co2(I use hpa)
Stock inner barre is crap

Overall, it's a beast. I would recommend hpa for airsoft btw. I have put a mad bull 6.03 inner barrel and bucking and it hits targets at 200ft with .3s!!!! So, if you put the right upgrades, it will be the best gun on the field. 10/10 would buy again!

"I bought this gun recently and IT IS AMAZING!! i took it to my local field and i dominated the place! its a great gun a super simple design and it the AK47 of airsoft guns: rugged, hardworking and dependable. and if you convert it to the HPA your shooting and potential are unlimited
Pros
-simple design
-easy convertion
-looks awesome
-recoil
-feels awesome
-people love it
-Rails
-highly ungradable
-dependable

cons
-absolutely nothing

"Simply put one of the most reliable and enjoyable guns on the market today, and a perfect entry into the HPA world for those unfamiliar with their operation.
I think the most glowing thing I can say about this gun is that I haven't touched any of my AEG's since buying this, the noise and recoil turns heads on the field, the simplicity and reliability of it makes it a breeze to work on for anyone of any skill level. The only upgrade it needs is a new barrel (tippmann intentionally supplied it with a super cheap aluminum barrel to keep cost down).
Probably the single greatest thing about this platform is the ironclad (virtually) lifetime warranty that backs it. If anything at all goes wrong with it, including user error, tippmann will bend over backwards to supply you with replacement parts or fix it for you, for free.

PROS:
Just about everything

CONS:
You won't want a to shoot aegs ever again.

"If you're looking to get into HPA guns, this is an excellent choice. The Tippmann M4 is extremely solid, and well built, and is very durable. I would recommend running it on HPA, so you can get the most out of the 98 custom internals. FPS and ROF are adjustable, and you can swap out the stock (mil spec buffer tube), and RAS any time you wish.
At this time, you'll have to stick with the A2 style pistol grip, due to the proprietary nature of the HPA routing. The knockoff Magpul MBUS sights are good quality, as with the bucking and most externals of the gun. One department which I find is lacking is the stock barrel. It's made of a cheap aluminum and the crappiest barrel I've ever seen. They might have added this to reduce cost and "encourage" you to upgrade it.
When you switch over from the CO2 puncture system to the HPA conversion, most M4 AEG midcaps and highcaps will work, With a 48 cu HPA tank you have ~1900 shots. Considering this is Tippmann's first venture into airsoft, they really seem to have done their homework and have made a reliable, accurate, durable, and well made platform that will suit either the HPA newbie or the veteran.

Pros: recoil, trigger response and reset, realism, sounds amazing with amplifier, durable, accurate, no receiver wobble, high quality, dual power options, no batteries needed, takes AEG mags
Cons: crappy stock barrel, stuck with 1 pistol grip, a bit expensive.

Overall, totally worth it. I'm never going back to AEG's or GBBR's. You don't have to deal with electronic or gearbox failures, or the complex gas internals/expensive green gas

"So I bought this gun in hopes to have an alternative HPA experience when compared to a polarstar, and the results I got were excellent!

Pros
- Solid recoil
- Loud, so that it scares people on the other end
- Excellent trigger response, feels like a real AR
- Although light in weight, it feels very solid with it's metal body
- Adjustable fps
- Decently accurate our of the box
- The closest thing you can get when it comes to realism (IMO better than a Daytona Gun and GBB rifle)
- Uses AEG's M4/M16 hicaps and midcaps (money saving)

Cons
- BUY A TIGHT BORE INNER BARREL. The stock barrel is cheaply made (strange considering everything else is well made). This is the only upgrade you may need.

- This can be expensive, especially if you are use to buying AEG's. But this is the cheapest option in HPA.

- Needs fine tuning out of the box, but the manual is very detailed.

- Buying air, filling your tank, all the time is a bummer

Conclusion
The gun is a blast to shoot and even more fun to shoot in a game. Even when people are shooting faster (rof) than me, the kick and sound this gun makes, makes playing airsoft more realistic and brings your game to another level. I love this gun and I am starting to believe this is the best gun I own. Rumor has it this gun has a hopup problem I have a late model (Numbered 3000), so the rumored hop-up problem does not affect me. Major gripe is I shoot this thing everyday so I have to go to a paintball shop 3 times a week... I hate filling my tank and reminds me why I quit paintball in the first place. But when I bring this to a game the feel of recoil and solid performance the Tippmann brings makes me realize why I love airsoft so much.

"Can I just say - what an awesome rifle!! the Kick is amazing and out the box will out range almost anything. Dont waste your time - convert it to HPA and just smile.

Mine is Running 375fps and around 15rps , Range is well over 250ft - mine personally clocks in at 300ft effective 330 with a lobby.

Pro's:
- Very Good Build Quality
- Excellent Range and accuracy
- Adjustable FPS and ROF
- Good Price

Cons:
- Dodgy Hop-up

Over all great Product - Buy it and love it - spend some time read the manual , and set it to your preference.

All the way from South Africa

"My honest review....

I was looking for an HPA gun that was not going to break the bank. I literally just started playing Airsoft (I'm 34) and was looking for something that would last me awhile, or at least until I got bored of it. I was doing some research and found the Tippmann M4. I did a lot of research on this rifle before I bought it. I knew all the tricks and problems with it before I made the purchase. I can honestly say I am not disappointed with my decision. Tippmann has great customer service. If you something breaks just send them an email, and they will replace it.

PROS: This thing runs hot right out of the box. Which is good because it can be dialed down. If you are running a DMR setup its perfect. Also, if you are running a 400 FPS limit, then all it takes is a little tuning with the allen key provided to turn it down.

This thing does not need a battery. That was one of the reasons I really wanted it.

Milspec weapon, which means all milspec or real steal compatible parts will work on this weapon.

Metal body and completely pneumatic.

HPA, if you run this, buy the tank and line. Does not need a regulator, (can also be a con).

Blowback is really nice.

CONS: The HOP UP, the hop up on this rifle is absolutely GARBAGE. Luckily some research will help, just get a drop in hop up mod or (TDC Hop up) you will not be disappointed.

CO2, although its nice to have the option, its really not practical. The mags only hold 80rds and you do not use all the CO2, so when you go to change mags, the mag does not want to come out. They are making a 120rd mag. Have not tested it though.

No regulator, mean you use a lot of air fast. I use a 3000psi tank and I can usually last the whole day. But if you run full auto all the time then you will use a lot more air. I usually run Semi only.

Remember people this is not a polar star. If you are looking for something like a polar star then this is not for you. Also if you are not mechanically inclined or know someone who is then this is not for you. If you run this only CQB then you should be fine. If you are trying to get some distance right of the box then nah bro. Remember do some research.
