"I love this slide, it gets quite a few looks when I bring my glock out and overall really helps it to stand out from all the other common glock 17's that I see around here.

I personally went for the black, and other matching gold accents on my pistol and I have to day the slide ties the look together.

I only give 4 stars for the same reason Kris V did on his review. The absolutely horrendous mounting hardware. To be honest, don't even bother with the included screws. Most optics that I could find did not want to line up, or where so thick on the mounting the included screws were too short.

The screws are M2.5 machine thread, I ended up using 6mm long screws with a small washer. 4mm might work as well if the mounting base on your optic is thinner.

Overall a good purchase, but for almost 200 I expect to have halfway decent screws for mounting.

Ending thoughts, I'm glad I made the purchase and would gladly do it again.

"Cool looking and seemingly well-made slide unfortunately paired with a bunch of cheap parts.

Look, if you're paying this much for just a slide as opposed to a whole gun I don't expect a bunch of corners being cut. However they decided to pair this CNC Aluminum slide with extremely cheap parts. The optic plate is of a low-quality plastic as is the recoil spring guide. The tolerances on the two-piece recoil spring guide don't seem very good so sometimes the slide gets stuck when reattaching it.

"Okay, but I don't mind the spring guide being plastic and I'm going to put an optic on it anyway so I don't need the optic plate anyway." Well, the way the screw holes are drilled into the slide is a little nuts. They aren't your standard RMR screws instead requiring some special M2 to M3 screws to allow you to attach an RMR optic. And the included screws are absolutely cheap. I snapped one in half attaching an RMR with just a normal allen key. Real optics are supposed to be torqued MUCH tougher than the snug hand-tightening I was going for so it was pretty ridiculous when it snapped and jammed the screw hole. Now I have to drill out the broken screw and re-tap the hole.

Honestly for the amount of money you pay for this thing I wasn't expecting such shoddy parts to be included. The slide is great. They should've just paired it with equally great parts.
