"Have had this gun for a while now after the Mystery box

Cons
- wiring is not the greatest, yes it has the clear insulation and silver wiring but that heats up rather quick if you are putting after market internals used with a higher C battery and spring in it and are to lazy to replace the wiring like me.
-dis-assembly is a pain!
-not to many aftermarket parts or are discontinued or not in stock
-stock mag wobbles like crazy from all sides of the mag well, but does not seem to affect the feeding
-trigger can get stuck when going ham(fix: just flick the trigger to get it back on the trolley of your trigger contacts)
-dual selector switch is a pain to get back in place correctly when putting back together
-fuse is garbage(glass tube fuse)
-front wired and batteries are a pain to fit. 1600 mah nunchucks can fit along with slim 2-3 cell Tenergy lipos(I do not recommend lipos unless you don't care about arching and charing up your trigger contacts without a mosfet of course)
-bucking may need to be changed out at a pretty early stage.

Pros
- quick change spring
- headtshots up to 60+ft. I would call this exceptional for stock
- pretty high fps out of the box chrono'd it at 400-420 .20g , so don't bother trying to be that sniper camper in CQB, you know who you are :P unless you change out the spring. Seems like a 140sp super short.
-not super heavy but can wear you out holding a position with the barrel up in the ready position.
-compression seems to be spot on. No leaks on in the hopup but will leak from the back of the nozzle which is really a given.
-pretty quick trigger response for stock motor but a con as mentioned above which I think is expected with a stock motor.
- gears are A&K obviously and are good quality. No wear on bevel or piston after a couple thousand shots with no aoe correction

I give this a 4 out of 5 starts for the cons but if you want a good quality DMR that wont break the bank I would recommend this gun. If you like to mod the heck out of your guns with pretty fancy internal and externals I wouldn't recommend it. Just a hassle to strip down and aftermarket externals are hard to come by.

"I absolutely love this gun. So far my hop up is doing great. I took off the original bucking and threw a mad bull shark took bucking with the fish bone nub and my accuracy is great! But the only problem is my mock suppressor ruins that accuracy. Oh well.

Pros
Great gun.
Good internals.
Got lucky with the hop up.
Takes most mags.

Cons
Tight battery space
Really bad stock clip. I snapped mine and had to wait 2 months until they were back in stock.
Hex Mags don't feed!, super bummed.
Rear iron sight is bulky.

"This gun is great. I have the original masada and had to get another so I got this and boy was it a good choice. The gun is made with quality. The only cons were the shimming, weak tappet plate and the selector switch grinds, but if you remove ambidextrous and the rod that goes through the box then the selector is smooth and clicks nicely. Battery compartment is very small but fits my 7.4v lipo. It did come with an 8mm quick spring change gearbox and a nice motor that can pull my madbull m120 with ease.

I got this as a project gun and the only original part is the motor because my magnum made it shoot too fast, it wouldn't shoot full auto with the airtight nozzle.

"I've had this gun for close to a year now and I am impressed with the feel of it. I've always been a fan of polymer and the Masada style. I personally favor the stock with its adjustable cheek rest and butt plate (I would not recommend a cheek rest to anyone using a face mesh). It is very accurate, ambidextrous (which is good for left handed people like myself), and combined with a Valken 9.6V butterfly battery it is a monster. However, the first issue I ran into after receiving the gun was with the battery: obviously an importance piece to an AEG. My problem was actually getting the battery to fit without tearing the wires, or possibly doing damage to the gun's upper RIS system. As of now, my black wire has a small tear in the rubber, exposing the actual wiring (though this was my fault, it is definitely something to consider before buying). Other than that, the A&K Masada DMR is an overall decent gun, but I would not recommend it to anyone who wears a face mesh, is impatient, or someone who loses track of small pieces (specifically the small bolt that is used to keep the receiver on).

Pros:
Weight (7 pounds for you imperial unit-users)
Accuracy
Fire power
Hop-up system
Ambidextrous compatibility

Cons:
Battery system
No under rail system
No sling attachment points
$320.00 price tag (personal disagreement and yes I know it is on sale)

My overall score: 7.5/10

"I bought this gun a while back, and I've been impressed on the way it looks and feels. The gun is quite good out of the box, However, I've run into some issues with my hop up. The little plastic slide thing on top of the hop up has broken on me twice. That is my only dislike about the gun. I think it is an over all great gun.

"This is a great weapon if you want a DMR that will perform well out of the box.
Pros:
-Accuracy and range are great even when stock. An improved hop up and TBB will make this an excellent ranged weapon
-Durable. I put this weapon through it's paces during a grueling 24hr op and it held up great.
-Comfortable PRS stock, and good adjustability
Cons:
-Weight. At 8-9lbs it's not a light weapon, your arms will get fatigued easily without a good sling..
-Sling attachment points. Only QD swivel sling mounts are available on the weapon and I am yet to find a swivel sling mount to stay in the slots without ever popping out.
-Battery Space. It's awful. The carbine version was about to host nunchuck, stick, and mini type batteries with little to no issue at all. This weapon I have only had luck with stick type, and even those are a pain to get in. Especially if you have to do a battery change in the field. It's not ideal

"I bought this gun as a CQB gun and I couldn't believe the accuracy and FPS on it.
Great gun. Shoots 416 with a .2 right out of the box. One of the best hop up systems I've used. As I said I was intending to use this gun as a CQB and the FPS was too high. But quick fix. The gear box is a Quick change. So just change the springs.

I bought a few springs to get it into different arenas.

m100 about 320FPS with .2
m110 about 350 with .25

Cons: the selector is a bit funky when tearing it down, the Mag release button spring could be stiffer. And not too thrilled that the battery has to be a brick style to keep the barrel stable

Otherwise this is an AWESOME gun. For a CQB gun this has an incredible range. I would and have recommend this gun to anyone looking for a good all round gun especially for the price.

"I bought this AEG for fun and because it was on sale. For the price ($200), I think it is a great buy! It works well, feels really solid and well made, and I like the look of a non-M4 or AK AEG (not that there's anything wrong with M4s or AKs, but it's nice to change it up every once in awhile).

There are three things about this AEG that I did not like. One applies generally to all A&K Masadas, and the other two are probably unique to the unit I purchased.

First, be aware that the dimensions of this AEG are slightly smaller than those of a real ACR (Bushmaster or Remington).

Second, the glass tube housing the fuse had a crack in it when I first took the AEG out of the box. This didn't prevent the AEG from working, and fuses are only a few bucks, but having to replace the fuse right off the bat was somewhat disappointing.

Third, the steel rod that runs parallel to the barrel to mimic the gas piston system on a real ACR had some surface corrosion (rust) out of the box. Like the fuse issue, this doesn't affect the mechanics of the AEG, but seeing corrosion on a brand new gun is also disappointing.

Overall, I think this AEG is a great buy for the sale price. If you're in the market for an ACR-styled AEG and want something less expensive than the WE-tech or G&P models, I think the Magpul Masada will suit you well.

"This is a cool gun overall, but this gun doesnt come with a mag, at lease for me.

"Got this gun and its awesome. The bolt and sight on mine came broke so I sent it back in. But its still awesome. The Gun looks fabulous, and shoots great. The mag feeds well and itself looks cool too. Also the hop up is just a slider so it takes fractions of a second to adjust in combat. If came perfect would be 5 of 5 stars, but had to send it back.

"Just got this gun for Christmas and it is fairly amazing. It's a beautiful gun and it feels great. I'm super pleased with it but here's what I wasn't super pleased about:

-Hopup system was broke right outa the box (might be just mine but it's something to think about)
-Rear sight is horrendous. It doesn't stay down when it snaps in and it's hard to see through.
-Magazine you get is iffy on feeding but eh whatever. Buy some extras and you'll be set.

Other than those 3 things I am really happy with it. It looks sick and is fairly accurate even with a dysfunctional hopup. I give it a 4 due to the hopup and rear sight but that's nothing to not buy the gun over. Other reviews complain about the rate of fire but if you buy a 9.6v it shoots like a dream. However I don't do a lot of full auto so that's just my opinion. I plan on getting some upgrades for it so if you're thinking about buying the Masada just stop and do it. You won't forget it!!

"All in all a good gun does not exept matrix mags but other then that a good gun

"Overall I love this gun and would buy it again and again.

Externals:
Awesome 10/10
Love the way the gun comes apart, can break the entire gun down to gearbox in 2-3 minutes. Can change the spring in 2-3 minutes, can change hop up bucking or hop up within 5 minutes. The gun has a great feel and build quality, I haven't seen the higher priced ACR in person but this one is built just fine for me and will not break anytime soon. Love the masada platform!!!

Internal:
3/10 Most of the internals are terrible. I'm pretty sure they are s&t and ares.
DO NOT buy this gun if you are looking for great performance out of the box, buy a KWA instead. I like to customize my gun anyway so this wasn't a big deal and had ordered the upgrade parts with the gun. The compression is very bad, accuracy is poor, and the motor rof is slow.. This is what I replaced and have been very happy with the performance so far. The gun has a nice rate of fire and is very quiet with the following parts.

Element piston
Hawk arms tecaform ported piston head lightweight
Lonex A1 Motor
Deans Connectors
7.4 1600mah Battery
3/16 70 sorbo pad
PDI w bucking
m120 spring
Prometheus barrel 380mm

Hope This Helps

"This gun is exactly how I expected it to be. However, I did research before I purchased the gun and the unanimous denominator of a slight problem is that the hop up is not high quality strong plastic. It's a cheaper plastic. The problem is that there is a slider piece that adjusts the hop up. That small slider piece breaks EXTREMELY easily(mine was broken when I got it). They have replacement hop-up units including the slider, however you will need to buy the whole setup just to get that slider piece ($12 +shipping and tax). If you are skilled with tools and metalwork, you can make your own slider and the problem is fixed. That or you can buy the Wii-tech CNC aluminum version that comes with everything.

The gun runs smoothly with my 9.6v NiMh and feels very solid with extremely accurate grouping. (8/10 shots hit from 50 yds away, with slight wind)

If you want to spend the extra $60 or so on the Wii-tech hop up package. The gun will be your best friend.

Overall awesome fantastic gun.

Pros:
-Good rate of fire (Around 900bpm or so)
-Full metal gearbox
-Sounds intimidating
-Feels and looks realistic
-Ambidextrous friendly
-Smooth battery

Cons:
-Poor hop-up material- Slider may break or be broken
-Does not come with BATTERY or SCOPE!

"I highly recommend this gun to anyone looking to buy it. I heard a lot of roomers about A&K having cheap guns, but this one is very nicely made, so those roomers are crud. The only big problem I ever had with it was the rotf so I swapped it out with a matrix 3000 high torque motor and 9.6v battery and that solved the problem. Also the gearbox uses a weird air nozzle (pro or con)

pros:
long rail for optics
folding stock
adjustable stock
check rest
ambidextrous
mag looks cool
V2 gear box

cons:
stock doesn't lock
hop-up chamber a bit weird
