"This is a great long range DMR. the power over range is great and it has a decent fire rate.
However it is poorly constructed and the magizines it comes with don't feed well.
PROS:
Long range and power
Fire rate
Light
Cool sound
CONS:
Magizines don't feed well
Poor construction
(Most notably the select fire switch is loose and the receiver isn't flush with the stock at all)
A good gun for the price, I wish it was made better

"This is a great gun i recommend it but it needs a few upgrades.

Pros.
Great fire rate
good trigger
sturdy build
heavy (pro or con depends on you)

Cons.
The barrel is 6.04 so its not that accurate i suggest a tighter barrel
Not that powerful (pro or con depends again) so i suggest upgrading gear box
Some parts were loos but just screw it back to gether easily (thats just evike's shipping)

all in all a great gun just needs some upgrades.

"The flash hider and the end of the bunny ear sights are PLASTIC ORANGE! This is going to snap off in a few weeks or in the future by accident. I thought the orange tip was going to be just like in the photo. Not going to bother spray painting it black since it's going to snap off soon. Just starting into airsoft so I'm hoping that there is an aftermarket or cyma piece for the flash hider and iron sight. So far I haven't really tested the gun out yet I just got it delivered to me today. The gun balance is good and the plastic imitation wood finish is well done. But the large orange plastic tip is really annoying when aiming down the sights.

"So I own this gun (obviously) and I am pleased with what I paid for. The gun is respectable, and does very, very well with .28g bbs stock. The stock material isn't the absolute best, but isn't near bad quality. The ENTIRE receiver is full metal, and is decent quality. One thing that is strictly a cool factor is when you pull back the charging handle, you can manually lock it back. Racking it back sounds absolutely phenomenal, which could be the death of it because it could break with excessive use. (Like EVERYTHING in the world) It is accurate, and easily hits a 6 in wide tree at 120 ft away 8/10 shots. Easily could hit a man sized target at 150ft. As for the motor, I am not impressed. It feels like it is just ahead of keeping up with the spring, and makes it have a slower rof on full auto with a Tenergy 9.6v 1600 mah brick/small type battery. (Battery I not the problem, because my JG SG 552 shoots much faster with the same battery). Although this affects the full auto, semi auto does perfectly well, and quiets down the gun which makes it a lot more stealthy and usable as a medium range DMR. Iron sights are accurate, and the hop up is easy to adjust. (Flip the gun upside down and turn the wheel). The Manual is not the best. It has the hop up adjustment backwards, which lead to confusion for a few minutes. The hop up doesn't take much force at all to adjust, and feels like it isn't adjusting, but it definitely is. The mag hold 400 rounds, and feeds decently. I can get around 25 rounds minimum after winding it all the way. Even after painting this rifle, (covering exposed areas) the performance has not been affected, and the stock still has its grip. Overall I'm very pleased with this rifle.

Pros:
-accurate
-durable
-easy hop up access
-accurate sights
-respectable range
-quiet (could be con)
-heavy (could be pro or con)
-full metal barrel
-full metal reciever
-full metal mag
-racking back the slide is loud

Cons:
-motor isn't the best
-manual can cause confusion
-sling is crappy
-bbs that it came with are crappy
-Version 7 gearbox isn't easy to work with. (Not a problem if you know what your doing or simply don't take it apart)
-hop up bucking could probably use replacing
-mags are a little expensive for midcaps

Overall, this is an easy gun to recommend to any airsoft player who has some experience. Definitely a great buy.

"I've had this gun for almost a year now and its really amazing. Very easy to use, has impressive range, and feels very comfortable. Its also surprisingly not that heavy when your carrying it.

What sucks about this gun is cleaning it and upgrading the internal parts especially the hop up and gearbox, Its literally like dealing with a 2,000 part lego structure with no instructions. I HIGHLY advise seeking technical support from an experienced airsoft player and tech personal when you need to clean the gun or install upgrade parts into the gearbox. You WILL drive yourself crazy fit-tiling with the gearbox and hop up and there really aren't any good videos out there that are gonna help you (I looked for hours along with another player).

Besides dealing with the gearbox the gun performs amazingly and i always have fellow players wanting to shoot it. I hope this helps you(:

"Great AEG so far! However nothing holds the lower barrel assembly to the gun, though an easy fix.

-Awesome if you are an M-14 fan and need a cheaper price! It also comes with 2 magazines and a winding key.

-The build could be a bit sturdier though. (It may be just fine but it sounds/looks a little weak at a couple points

*Don't get this for CQB, otherwise a great buy for a collector/ field air-softer. In open terrain, this will serve very well.

"I recently bought this gun from evike.com. I like it a lot other than some minor problems. The scope mount that comes with it wobbles no matter how tight it is. Also the parts that are plastic are really cheap. Besides those two things its an overall great gun and its very accurate. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good battle rifle/sniper.

"I have had this gun for about 3 months now, I have gone through several games with this gun and i love it. Personally, the hop up is in a bad place so whenever i grip the magazine its moves it so its a pain to redial it. The scope you can optionally buy is an ok one but i'd rather buy a different 3-9x40 scope.

Pros
Great gun
Great Accuracy
Great FPS
Decently Sized

Cons
Heavy after long periods of times
Plastic
Hop Up placement

"I got this about two weeks ago and i have to say that i am very pleased with this gun.

Pro's:
cheap
rof
accurate
comes with two hi cap magazines
full metal internals

Cons:
the abs plastic parts feel flimsy
the screw holding the front assembly together was missing when i got mine
fire selector switch doesn't seem very sturdy

I give this gun a 4/5 because of a few minor flaws but overall it is a definite buy for only $140.

"So far, the gun is great. However, Evike says that the battery that comes with the rifle is a small 8.4v. Its actually a large 8.4. Also the battery fits terribly in the gun. Its very tedious to put it in. However, the rest of the gun is great. Fantastic weight, and feel. The metal parts are solid, not pot metal, but good material. It shoots straight, (with .25) and is accurate. My personal favorite thing about the weapon however, is the sound of the bolt. Its amazing. Other minors cons.

Pros:
Bolt sounds great.
Hefty, and Realistic
Accurate
Very solid materials

Cons:
Battery is very large for such a small space
The Magwell is very big. In front of the magazine is a small port, about a half inch large for the hop-up. It may bother some. Also, the hop-up is very stiff. (Pro or Con)

"This is a very good gun with in amazing fell and weight when you hold it. It is vey accurate for the inner barrel it has. The fps is around 375 with .20g bbs which means you can still use it in most indoor arenas (if you dont mond carrying a 3 foot long gun in cqb). Although this gun performs exceptionally well for its price the internals are not very good quality. Aftee about 10 months of usage the spring becomes so weak it might be able to shoot 300 fps. Another problem i had with this gun was the external accessories. The bolt cover cracked after the first 200 times i Pulled the bolt. I ended up ripping It out. Another problem is the bolt guide bolt release and selector switch either fall off or break. Overall this gun is good for people who like to snipe from close distances. If you are thinking of getting this gun i would highly reccomend Paying about $40 extra for a socom gear m14. It has better quality externals and internals.

"This is a fantastic gun, put a hole in a full monster can at about 30 feet. Has a decent AEG kick. With the scope, its magestic. The only bad things about it I could find so far, is that the cocking lever catch, or bolt cover, comes off, its not screwed, or glued in, which bited. But it can be removed and still works fine, so it must not be an important part(First AEG by the way). The front sights and barrel moved left and right a bit, really small amount, could cause rattle if ravaged with it. Its a real heavy gun, worth buying Well worth the money I spent for it. Takes time to get used to the high cap mags, the winding system, but all high cap mags are like that. Great buy!

"really good gun but the only problem is that the first time u put a battery in it is soooooooooo hard
by Vernard B. on 12/10/2010
"Just got it, im impressed with the size and weight, the motor runs smooth and quitely almost like a KWA gun, very accurate with iron sights and once hopup has been adjusted, pretty nice finish... now the down side is the replacement of the standard metal flashhider with a PLASTIC one!!!
