"These motors are 100% absolutely worth what they are listed for. These are half the price of the Systema Magnum and have extremely similar outputs. However, like every other motor, they arent without their flaws, however, the benefits definitely outweigh the problems.
Pros:
STRONG! (hard to turn pinion by hand)
Cheap
Works well
Great trigger response
Good ROF

Cons:
Too strong (9.6v NEEDED, mine wouldnt pull the spring (M110) with an 8.4v)
Weak pinion gear (showing wear at 5k rounds)
LOUD, because of this precise tuning is a bit of a pain

Overall, a simple replacement pinion gear and you are 100% set.

"I bought this for my CYMA AKM .036. Stock the gun is incredibly accurate; ROF decent and Excellent (360-400+)FPS. After install of this motor, which only took me about 5mins total, while on the "john" LOL! All it took was a four-head screw and wire cutter.

Any-how, after some 1000 tests shots. Currently no crono. But I can say, definitely a increase in ROF, FPS, and trigger response. Bbs fly out in a blink and range is at least 2x farther. Trigger response was instant. Before motor swap, stock I was able to gently pull one bb at a time on Full-Auto mode. The Matrix motor hits fast with about 6 bbs flying out, compared to stock. The Matrix Magnum magnet strength is a bit over rated but it is some what stronger then a CYMA AK .036 motor. Overall test was on a 9.6v 4500mah battery.
Performance on 8v stock battery isn't worth talking about as the differences were not as much noticeable but satisfying too.
Another thing I noticed is heat. This thing heats up quick! After about a mag and a half I notice the handle becoming warm. I'm not sure if this is normal on magnum motors or aftermarket performance motors in general, but heat is a NO-NO...

PROS:
FPS increase
ROF increase
Faster trigger response
Increased magnet strength

CONS:
Heats up faster

full stars, I guess not today. If only heat was not so noticeable.

"I installed this motor in my CYMA M14, along with a PDI 210% spring, Elite 9.6v 1500mah battery and clean wiring with deans plugs. My stock motor was too weak to pull the PDI 210 back a few times without heating up a lot, and it did it verrry slowly, so I got this motor to retain my rate of fire.

Despite what I had read about Magnum motors, this particular motor is not a high speed motor, only a high torque motor. My M14 shoots only about 18 rounds per second with this motor, but the semi-auto is very fast, I can't just tap the trigger and make the piston stop partway back. It leads me to believe I can put a much heavier spring than the PDI 210 in my gun and it would turn over almost as fast. I was a little disappointed with this motor as it didn't live up to its high-speed rep, but since I use my M14 as a semi-auto only DMR, the merely average full-auto speed isn't an issue.

I would recommend this motor to anyone with a clone AEG, especially when upgrading your spring. Obviously you'd have to get the right shaft length for your gun.

I only installed this motor a couple days ago so I can't comment on its lifespan, but I have no complaints so far, other than the fact that it's not a high speed motor as well as a high torque motor like it was advertised as. But hey, it's only $45.

"This motor is very very good. I think it can pull an m130 easily. The magnets are stronger than my kwa hi torque motor and my CA hi torque motor and this is only a speed motor. This thing really boost your rof. My only problem with this motor is that the pinion gear is really crappy and does not last that long. It strips pretty easily and I can almost guaranty that it is not thermal treated like the guarder motors pinion gear. If this motor had a better pinion gear I would definitly buy it over the guarder motor, because the magnets in this motor are definitly stronger.

"I bought this motor fairly recently and at first it went really well. It pulled back an m130 spring with ease, but after playing around with it and one game the pinion gear got stripped really bad and had to replace it. After though I have had no problems with it. I don't think you should have to replace something after one game though.

"Just tried to install this last night, only to have the pinion gear wear down to a nub after 2 trigger pulls. Yikes! Definitely get a replacement pinion gear. Good trigger response on the shots I did get.

"Strong motor BUT the pinion gear is a piece of crap. I have two of these and both pinion gears stripped in a few rounds. If you buy this motor, buy a good replacement pinion gear, too.
Another thing was that in the description, they advertise that it can pull a spring ranging from 300fps to 500fps. This is true, yet it pulls the spring insanely slow for higher fps springs.

"Great motor, is my 'go to' motor in any gun I own. Strong enough for m130 (possibly more) and awesome rof on an m110 spring. Motor gets 5 stars.

Pinion gear is the exact opposite. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! every single pinion gear on my first 5 of these lasted less than 2000 rounds, one of them less than 500 rounds. I no longer even try. Simply switch to an shs pinion and good to go. Pinion gets 1 star.

Overall don't let the pinion scare you off. Motor is stellar. Low rating to make people aware of pinion failure.

"This motor has some ridiculously strong neo magnets, and decent rpm.

The bad thing about this motor is that the pinion is poor quality. I would change it right away without even using it. I also found that the motor shaft is a bit longer than usual. I had to cut a bit of it off to make it clear my M14 gearbox safely (it would've probably cleared on its own with about 1.5mm of clearance to the bevel gear but the pinion was sitting too high, so I moved the slotting down a bit while I was at it). I got about 14.5 rps pulling M140 spring in my M14 with stock gearing and 7.4V battery.

I would buy again if the price is lower. $25-$30 would be a more reasonable price.

"Just got this motor, and I was impressed with the trigger response and High ROF, for about 200 rounds. After that the pinion gear on the motor was stripped. Completely destroyed. I just ordered a replacement gear from another website that should hopefully arrive soon, but be wary of using this motor in conjunction with a LiPo or LiFe battery, because that higher ROF will shred that pinion gear fast. I have a flame 9.9v LiFe battery and it couldn't even stand up to 200 rounds worth of shooting. Overall, great motor, with a very disappointing pinion gear.

Pros: Fast trigger response, very strong and still fast

Cons: Weak pinion gear that will need to be replaced if you use higher powered batteries.

"Great all purpose motor. I use it in my p90. works great for a 13:1 gearset and 110 setup for speed,
and m120 and 16:1s for field play.

Pinion gear is crap though. Broke within 100 rounds. Yes 100. 50+50.

overall pretty good motor

"well this motor is powerful ,but when you make a product that is to perform ,you don't use nice product and then use cheep plastic on the rear of the motor !
i installed this motor with laylax gear and a real pdi 170% spring not the fake ones they sell now and try to make them sound like a pdi spring first of all pdi spring are teated so they dont lose any % through the life time of the spring second any spring that is silver of colored are junk !
i know this because i have been a tech for 15 year and pdi springs when in stalled right do not lose fps ,
i have aegs that are five year old that shot 400 fps with .25 5 years ago and to this day fire the same fps as the day it was built ,unlike silver springs or colored springs the thing with silver or colored springs is they can't be teated because of the type of metal , so don't be fooled .
ok so i put matrix motor in a customers weapon and it was in a mag p pistol grip motor plate was just right .
this is what get me about new parts is the people that build these parts ,if you know anything about airsoft aeg you would know that a powerful motor wants to twist in the grip so the bottom on the motor needs to be reinforced ,well the weapon shoot fine tell i head a awful sound that out of the 100 of aegs i have built this was a new sound but knowing the only new this i put in this aeg was this low end motor
well i took off the bottom of motor plate and the the bottom of the motor where the cheep black plastic held the rotor inline and also keep the bushes on the rotor ,the plastic blow up into 4 pieces .
now i can under stand if i was using a pdi 260% with a 11.1 v battery but this was a easy build ,so all i can say is until they reinforce the bottom of the motor i would stick with the g&p 160 or systema mag ,sorry if i have type o i have had a long 16 hour day but just thought you all should know and mybe they will fix this motor ,then again they might not care and keep selling junk ,i hope for you sake they fix this

"yeah. i didnt find this motor to be that great. i think there are better motors. cant pull a m150 with a 12v 2600mah. and systema magnum can do that easy. this motor isnt bad, but its not a described!

"So before I start of this review I'd like to mention that this was MOST LIKELY a bad motor, but I'll share my experiences none the less...

I originally purchased this motor for use in my CYMA M14 EBR. Lo and behold I didn't read the part in the description stating: Recommended for 280-400 fps. I was going for a DMR set up based around an M130 spring and found out the hard way that it will NOT pull back an M130. Strangely enough the motor that came stock in the EBR managed to pull it at a whopping 4 RPS with a 9.6v 1600mAh battery. Needless to say it was a waste of cash. I tried it in my JG SOPMOD M4 but to no avail. Even with the M115 spring that's in there it simply didn't have enough torque! I'm quite surprised considering the countless reviews stating almost 25 RPS was achieved with this thing on an M120 spring! Keep in mind both gearboxes were shimmed, AOE adjusted and well lubricated. I'm overall pretty disappointed in its pulling capabilities but I might have gotten a dud... Oh did I mention the pinion gear is a joke? Hopefully I can find a build to use this in but until then I'll be in my misc. parts drawer.

Pros:
Nice packaging
Neo magnets
Flashy motor!!

Cons:
Couldn't get it to spin even an M115 spring!
Practically no torque (In my experiences)
Pinion gear is laughably bad

Overall if you're going to purchase this motor make sure it's used in a low fps build!
