"this gun is made out of plastic but it can be considered a full metal because the real steel is plastic as well. this is quite possibly the best gun i've ever bought.

"This gun Is the BEST!!! I should have got this gun at Evike.com because of the low prices and great service. The gun is so accurate. The gun will last in all weather conditions. My friend used my gun at my house and left it in pouring rain for around 2 hours. When I found it, i dried it off and it still worked great!!! No defects. There are no wobbles at all. Look at the review of this gun on http://www.airsoftreports.com/Echo1Reviews.html
to look this gun over. I'm sure you will go and buy this gun right after you see how cool this gun is. The battery compartment is actually very easy to use and the battery last a long time.
Tip- use your last shot on Semi-auto to relieve the spring inside for longer use!

"YES!!!!YES!!!!YES!!!!YES!!!!!!NO!!!!YES!!!!!YESSSSSSS!!!!!!! BUY IT BUY IT. It is very very accurate. I could hit a quarter from 100 ft and im a horrible shot. And with the FPS of this monster it can probably dent the thing. The funniest thing happened. Me and another lad were the last players on our teams, and we were in a medium range engagement distant. It was a spray a pray type thing. So I got this baby stock while the asshole on the other end has is ICS M4 that he was waving around and showing off before the game. So were in this fight and he's got a shitty ass red dot that prob costed him $10. I dont know why but he does. So After he takes his last shots before he has to wind up again, I just blind fire all over the place. Waiting anxiously for that marvelous word (HIT!!) I hear a grump and then......"HIT!!!!" It turns out that I actually shot him in the mask and in the mean while, shot off his red dot. The thing just tore off. It was so funny. You should have seen the look on he ugly ass face.

"Let me start off by saying its a great airsoft gun and well worth the money. Its actually pretty quiet not like my other M4 and M16 rifles, it also shoots consistantly and pretty far for this gun. My gun clocked out @ 360fps but sadly I have the version with plastic bushings so no 9.6v battery for me. Its great for CQB and outdoor games. I love the fact it has a foldable stock making it easy for me to manuvear through a couple of the bunkers @ Lenix Airsoft Feild. The stock is also quite sturdy and won't mve around on ya, but you will need 2 get a good sling with hooks attached to 'em. It has an awesome ROF even with that 8.4v 1100mah battery, especially with the battery being fully charged its amazing and it keeps going through out the entire day like for example: the wars i go to last like 8 hours and it keeps going and going. Its really a gun worth getting a definate must buy if you're into CQB and outdoor games.

"I have had this gun for about three months and I must say it is a great gun. I know for a fact I have shot about 45 thousand rounds out of it and it still shoots very nice. It isn't as accurate as my MP5 but it's good enough to hit your target. The gun was very powerful, I shot myself point blank in the leg, it's a custom me and my friends have that the first shot out of our new guns is to shoot ourselves. Anyways I shot myself in the leg and the bb got impeded into my skin and I popped it out so it wasn't to deep. I've been shot by this and my friend has shot me with his ICS Mp5 that has been upgraded to 405 fps and this is pretty close to his so I would say this gun has about 350 fps. Now the only con I have found on this, is the flashider is the biggest bitch to get off. I have messed up my barrel and now need a new barrel thanks to my stupidity. Other than the flash hider I see no other majorly annoying cons.

"I've had this gun for a couple months now and it has never failed to amaze me. The body is made of sturdy plastic and the battery compartment can fit a small 9.6 battery so it's very open to upgrades, which I did and now it is a monster fueled by an intellect 9.6 1400 mah nunchuck pushing a 120 spring with a polycarbonate piston with bearings and a metal spring guide (bearings too) and a systema silent head set, I installed it myself (NOTE: if you watch mechbox.com, know this, they make it look a lot easier than it really is, so be prepared to get angry if it's your first time opening a gearbox). And to answer the question of "why isn't my gun shooting?" it is most likely the fuse, i've gone through 2 already, so before you go and get it "repaired" for hundreds of dollars, change out the fuse and see if thats the problem. Overall, this gun is teh smexiness, very solid and very strong
by Jason W. on 06/18/2008
"This is a great gun. If your gun stopped shooting at all, check the fuse. Any gear jam or strip will give you a weird noise. I would consult with Evike and get it repaired if it is not the fuse, you'll see that this gun is nice.

"When I first fired this gun it was amazing. The gun shot so fast with my upgraded 9.6 volt intellect battery. You will love the G36 because it shoots so accurate with 0.2 bb's and it's light so you can move really fast.

"This gun is great! I chronoed it at my field, and it's shooting 330 average. For a stock gun, thats awesome. The stock barrel is pretty good, but with a tightbore, the accuracy improved about 50% and it shoots much further. This gun is unbelievably durable, mine has been dropped multiple times, with no damage whatsoever. The plastic is very sturdy and feels like a real steel G36. As far as internals go, i have done a lot of work on this gun. It is fully compatiple with Marui upgrades. I've put in a 6.03 tightbore, a metal hop-up, and a Big-Out H-Hop. Other than stat everything is stock. Overall, this gun is a great buy for a beginner or veteran.

Pros:
-Nice FPS, accuracy, and ROF out of the box
-Upgradable
-Very sturdy!
-Easy to install hop-up
-Looks nice
-Nice weight to it

Cons:
-Stock battery isn't amazing
-Mags kind of big (need special pouches-not M16/M4)
-Charging handle a little flimsy

"This is a great gun for someone starting to get into the world of airsoft. It's a great value for a gun that will keep up with the big name brands. Combined with a red dot sight this gun is very accurate. Out of the box i was able to keep groupings of shots about roughly 4-6 inches apart from about 75 feet away. The folding stock makes the gun even better for its versatility. However, when I went to play with the gun at my local playground I was forced to keep it in my bag due to it constantly shooting over 350 fps. So keep in mind that this gun comes with an m110 spring and may need to be downgraded to an m100 spring to play at certain grounds.

"Bought this little monster at my local CC Military Surpluss and holy crap this gun is awesome. Matched it up with a 3x zoom scope and a bipod, no joke I have a rifle that is small enough for sprinting around with CQB and a gun accurate enough to make the scope effective at 3x. Dunno how the guy below got his gun at 800rpm but mine is at 600-700, but it DOES fire 350+fps constant though. For $150 you're getting a steal because this gun is nearly as upgradeable as the M4, so you can make litterally your own personal G36, and can take aftermaket parts such as Systema and Guarder. Get a few extra E1 hi-caps or the Hero Arms 3000rd drum mag and you're going to have yourself a ball with this gun.

"Pros:
Seems mostly reliable
Good accuracy at short to medium range
Can accept a 9.6 nunchuck nimh
Looks awesome
Very good intuitive controls
Folding stock is useful for storage
Quick change mainspring
Lots of rail space
Was thrown by accident on to the ground and kept working so it seems durable.

Cons:
1 out of a couple hundred shots the piston feels like it "short strokes" or cycles weakly.
BBs curve left at long range.
This isn't really the guns fault but aftermarket midcap mags have to be fitted in order to lock in place. I had to work on the engagement lip on the mags with a file.
The battery is mounted in the handguard which makes it tough to use big batteries. But if you turn the gun upside down, slide the handguard just barely forward without removing it, it is possible to wrangle in a 9.6 nunchuck nimh. Just careful how you arrange the wires as you slide the handguard backwards.

"For any first time Airsofter's looking for an all around decent gun that'll separate you from the M4/M16 masses, this is the gun you're looking for!
I recently just got into Airsoft, and after months of research and just being in love with the G36C rifle model, I ended up buying this beauty right here!

Pros:
Light yet Durable
Shoots around 335 fps right out the box(with .20 bbs)
Mag release is nice when you don't have cheap mags (I suggest Evike's G36 magazines)
Fold-able stock gives a nice satisfying click in and out
Great for all types of play (outdoor+indoor)

Cons:
Aside from not being the biggest fan of the electric blow-back feature (the more moving parts, more possibility of damage) the only issue I had was the hopup needed to be adjusted all the way up to get this thing to shot a good distance accurately.

If you're on a budget and looking for a gun that'll perform well and consistently every time you hit the field, this is the one! (Also I suggest a 7.4v LiPo battery instead of the one that comes with the gun, you'll get shots further and better trigger response)
by Eri M. on 09/10/2019
"When I first got this it didn't work, something wrong with the gearbox, so I sent it back to Umarex, I got a new gun for free, but I had to pay the shipping to them. Now that I have one again, and its working I love it. If I had gotten the first one working it would have been 5/5

"This is a great budget gun, and it has a ton of features that you wouldn't normally get with other guns in its price range. I don't think the internals are Marui since it looks more like an S&T build. Regardless, it plays beautifully if used correctly. It has an ABS body which is durable to airsoft's extent, but will definitely break if you hit it against a tree, hard.
The charging handle is pretty flimsy, and with its tendency to break under constant usage, you can't really do the signature H&K charging like you can with full metal guns, although the real G36C is made of polymer. Remaining on topic, I would recommend switching out the inner barrel for an Angels Custom, or heavily polish it and don't abuse it with bad BBs. Staying with barrels, the outer barrel assembly was solid, but I would have loved to see a metal outer barrel because it DOES interfere with where your barrel points if you manipulate it enough.
Although it is a budget gun, this G36C is amazing to upgrade. Quick change springs are something you don't see much nowadays, but I can drop an M120 into this within minutes. Be aware that taking the gun apart will make it difficult to reassemble the trigger assembly without an extra set of hands since it IS a micro trigger. This is both a pro and con, the former being true if you don't intend on making gearbox upgrades.
The piston's cylinder is a bit weak, so I would suggest hitting up Angels Customs to get yourself a new, stronger, and more tight one. Outside of the gearbox, you have a high-speed motor. I highly suggest a high speed AND torque motor to replace, because the micro trigger and gears give it excellent trigger response granted you are using the right battery. You CAN HPA this gun, but some breaking down will need to be done unless you find the right V3 Fusion Engine.
I could use some 14mm negative threads underneath the plastic flash hider since I wanted to add a tracer unit to the end, but there were none since the outer barrel assembly IS plastic and would not make it a viable option. There are some full-sized G36 outer barrel assemblies that Evike sells in order for you to up your barrel length and versatility. These are a great buy.
You will get an RIS system around your handguard, which DOES have metal rails. These are a great addition that sets it apart from the JG G36C, even if you could purchase them (also at Evike). The top rail is a polymer, which was a slight disappointment, but it was durable. I found no issues roughly remounting sights onto it, and some wear is evident but doesn't hinder the affixing of your sight in any way. The folding stock does NOT have a rubber pad, but you can easily replace it with a Matrix one if that's what you want to do.
The G36 platform is extremely modular, so most aftermarket G36 parts WILL fit it. Essentially, this is a great buy if you know what you want to upgrade. The externals are beautiful and replicate this G36C's real steel counterpart. This gun IS LiPo ready, courtesy of my own testing. However, don't be fooled by the term LiPo read, because it is simply a term to describe durable gearboxes.

SCROLL DOWN HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO REAL ALL THIS ABOVE
Pros:
+Great accuracy and decent FPS out of the box, especially for a gun of its length. Perfect for CQC if you aren't intent on upgrading.
+Metal parts where it is necessary.
+Extremely lightweight and comfortable to operate with.
+Modular platform, it is compatible with other models in its family.
+Rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation.
+Upgrading the internals is super easy and will not hinder too much for too long.
+Durable build won't mess you up, given you don't harshly treat it.
+Converting to GBB, EBB, and HPA is as simple as other guns, some easier than others.
+Hop-up is great, a bit better than an AK and M4 in some cases.
+This gun is crazy solid. You won't get anything around flimsy alongside the charging handle. (I do suggest buying an EBB charging handle to replace.
+Metal RIS and strong polymer upper rail.

Cons:
-Charging handle will break on you after using it a lot.
-Mostly polymer build might break if you heavily abuse it.
-Stock pad is plastic, not rubber.
-Not really too much of an issue, but the top rail is polymer and not metal.
-Exposed wiring in the magazine well will require some slight adjsutment to protect it.
-Magazine pouches for the G36 magazines are hard to come across without getting overly large.
-Plastic outer barrel, and no threads beneath the flash hider.
-Internal gearbox grease job is rushed. I do recommend redoing it.
-Inner barrel isn't the best, grab a new one and flat-hop it for even better accuracy.
-You don't have one.

Whew, that took a while. Anyways, this is a great buy, and it can rank alongside Krytacs and its KWA cousin if you get the right internals for it.
