"from the picture the latch that opens the dust cover looks metal which is the reason i bought it but its actually plastic. a little disappointing when discovering that but it did the job. i dont know why they dont just make that part metal also because it being plastic you could end up getting one that is too weak (more flexible than stiff) to push the little nub to open the dust cover, thats what happen the first time to me when when purchasing just the latch alone. glad it worked perfect the 2nd time.
