"You get what you pay for. In my case it worked well until I over-tightened the screws on the claws. There is very little metal on the actual claws, and what's there is soft and sub-par. Two of the claws snapped off on one side, rendering mine useless. As long as you're careful when securing this to your weapon, it serves its purpose well, especially for the price. As a note: if you want to also mount a sight protector, this rail might not be big enough, depending on the sight you choose. Also, if you use a mask (paintball, mesh or otherwise) this mount won't bring the optic up high enough. I'd recommend one that's a bit taller for comfortable sighting with a mask.

"It was on an Echo 1 mp5a4 RID I recentry purchased. Very nice, looks like part of the gun. May need a rider for scope.

"Finally, the perfect low-profile scope mount for a real G3 with a port-buffer! (Most other scope mounts run into the port buffer on top and won't fit.) The installation was easy and the rotating claws ensure that you won't scratch up your receiver in the process. Exactly what I was looking for.

"This appears to be a nice mount, it is constructed of full metal and appears to be compatible with either MP5s or G3s. The downside was that mine arrived with a bend in two of the claws and will not securely mount to my JG T3 RAS. I do not know if this is solely because it is bent or if it is just not compatible as the UTG low profile mount also does not seem to fit onto that model.

Pros:
Metal
Universal to MP5 or G3

Cons:
Doesn't seem to work with JG G3 plastic body.

"Sorry for posting a question. Does anybody know, is this metal or just plastic?
