For Experienced players only. This complete gearbox set is essentially a pre-assembled complete reinforced / tune up kit for your M4 / M16 series AEG. Manufactured by Matrix Tactical Systems, one of the most established, reliable and well known Airsoft manufacture in the world. This gearbox is an affordable alternative over the Systema gearbox with 8mm bearing sets. The mecha box shell is modeled after Systema's new gearbox design with thickened shell. With the more stabilized 8mm bearing set, this gearbox is more attractive than ever!

Compatibility: Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, Echo1, JG, G&G, G&P, Echo1, DBOY, SRC, A&K, KWA and compatible models. Modification might be required for certain brands.

Review:
A good gearbox on par with the KWA M4 gearbox. One advantage of this gearbox over the KWA is that all 6 bearings are standard size 8mm bearings you can buy. Making it much easier to work on. Equipped with a Matrix Turbo motor, this gearbox is the ultimate "high speed setup" that can be completed in minutes.
High speed Setup:Many experienced airsoft players turn from high power to "high rate of fire" for reasons such as field fps restrictions. This is done with hours of time shaving down your piston, installing a high speed gear set and high speed turbo motor. The resulting rate of fire is amazing. The draw back is the amount of wear and tear, but the tactical advantage and performance still made this upgrade one of the most high-end / popular upgrade. This gearbox will complete your project most of the way. Evike.com strongly recommend shimming the gearbox again yourself. To slow down the rate of fire / wear and tear, standard gear set, torque motor and/or a weaker spring is recommended.

To install this gearbox on a MOD5 series, although it is a version 2, the nozzle, selector plate and trigger are not the same. Slight work and gearbox knowledge will be required.

Lets start with the cons
1 you have to shim the gearbox for max performance
2 check the wires/gearbox for any thing that can damage the wires
3 dosen't come with the whole wirering harnessso you have to buy 16guage stranded wire
(i use my local auto parts store for the wire and get some heat srink n afew other things and made me a new harness or u can buy the replacement aim top wire here on evick and combine the two of them.)
pros
very good quality matirale and build a m100 spring is perfect for anything
combined with the m120 down aimtop high speed motor and a 9.6 4200 maH nh mh my chronoed rof was 27.3sec/1640min with a fresh charge on the batterys yes i got more then one :)
fps with a mad bul vr2 6.03 barrel na m100 like i saed chronos between 365-400 with .2(s) matter on your hopup and quality of bbs

Awesome gearbox! Works Great with a matrix high torque motor. Had to re-wire the back, but you should'nt be messing with your gearbox if you dont know how to wire anyways.

Pros:
Great ROF (23 BPS) with matrix high torque motor and a 11.1 lipo.
Re-inforced.
Great air-seal. (no pressure lost)

Cons:
Needed to extend the wires.

Impressed in some respects...Underwhelmed in others.

Pros:
Built tough and gets good FPS (380-400 w/.25 BBs)
Fits in my AGM 416
Looks like a solid performer so far.

Cons:
I expected a higher ROF compared to the stock gearbox.Original was 12/sec., Matrix was 17/sec.tops.Both with fresh battery.
Wires could be a few inches longer.

Overall I think I made a good choice :)
