Matrix MICH 2000 Fiberglass Airsoft Helmet w/ NVG Mount & Side Rail (Color: Tan)

"I recently bought this helmet, the Emerson MICH 2000 in Tan, and my opinion of it is quite mixed. When I received the helmet, the packaging was simply not good. It came in a cardboard box that was not labled, nor did it have anything to keep the helmet from moving violently during shipping. While this is only a minor concern, it's still something to consider. Upon opening the box and trying the helmet on, I noticed the chin strap was weird. One of the connectors was fitted upside down and inverted. This was an easy fix for me, but for a beginner, it might be daunting to fix a helmet without experience. The padding that I received was also not the one shown in the picture, and the helmet is much darker than that of the photo. I prefer that because it fits well with my plate carrier, but still. Overall, the helmet has a somewhat of a nice build quality and the plastic seems durable, it will definetly stop bb's from damaging your head. The velcro patches must also be placed yourself, they do not come preattched like the MICH 2001 variant. Also, the texture of the helmet is really nice and allows paint to stick to the helmet better.

"Its a nice built helmet. Only complaint ia that it has a weird shape to it. It is a very short helmet front to back and pretty wide. So short that i cant even tighten the backstrap. Looks good though. But presses on my forehead a lot

"This helmet is great big people with large heads. My hat size is size 8, and the regular fast helmets dont fit me. This fits great. Built well, sort of heavy but that is good in my opinion. Has great texture.

My only complaints are: no included velcro, and the pad on the chin strap for the back of your head is sort of cheap.

But it serves its purpose!

Helmet's quality is extremely good, would give the helmet a good 9/10.
The chin strap is not adjustable enough... fits extremely tightly over my goggle/ Mesh lower combination.
This is a 4/5 because of the chin strap not being adjustable and Evike's mis-labeling of their product.....

"i bought this helmet used from another team that had 4 of them. It was brand new still in the wrapper. my first impression of this helmet was, "wow, this thing is gonna look really bada$$". Then i picked it up and realized just how heavy it is. The texture feels very realistic. Padding is something of memory foam, or similar to it. The pads are removable, but are held on by sticky pads, so i dont really want to take them out. Something i didnt like bout this helmet, is that i had to wear it for 4 hours just to get it to wear-in and fit to my head. also, its a pain to get the adjustments right and can be quite uncomfortable until you do.

Pros:
Looks nice/realistic
Super soft padding
rails are a nice feature, if you know where to get items to go on them
very sturdy

Cons:
kinda heavy
Think padding may not allow room for a comtac full size headset underneath
little bungee hooks do not stay in very well and i find myself putting them back in every 2 seconds
straps are finicky

All in all, a good helmet to have. matches alot of my tan gear and has a very profesional look to it.

"Would be a decent helmet, BUT...

The velcro disks that you attach the soft pads to are flimsy. They fell out after a few days in relatively temperate weather. They are not hard to replace but it's very inconvenient to have to modify a helmet before actually using it.

"Decent enough helmet for the price one of the bungees popped out within the first 5 minutes of being on the field.

Don't buy if you plan on using with a full face mesh.

"Bought the OD Green version and was incredibly disappointed. The images on this page showed the helmet having texture similar to sand-textured paint, but the helmet I received appeared more like a cheap slightly shiny but solid plastic MICH Helmet worth far less than $50 (would say the helmet is worth $27 or so tops). Customer support was super friendly and informed me that all the OD Green MICH was like that so I got a refund.

LONG STORY SHORT, OD Green MICH doesn’t appear like the picture. Doesn’t have sand grain textured paint. Looks like a shiny plastic MICH worth no more than $27z
