Matrix C45 Type Low Profile Scope Mount Base for MP5 / G3 Series Airsoft AEG Rifle

"I got this for my ICS MP5 because it had a very sleek look. It is my fault but I didn't notice that only certain Red dots will fit this mount. The rail portion of this mount is very small & will only fit Red dots with a small footprint. It was very easy to install but it fit very loosely on my gun. This was fixed by adding some filler between it and my upper.

Very loose fit.

Overall if you want a cheap mount for a red dot with a small footprint than this is a solid mount. Be prepared to shim it to fit tightly.

"You get what you pay for. In my case it worked well until I over-tightened the screws on the claws. There is very little metal on the actual claws, and what's there is soft and sub-par. Two of the claws snapped off on one side, rendering mine useless. As long as you're careful when securing this to your weapon, it serves its purpose well, especially for the price. As a note: if you want to also mount a sight protector, this rail might not be big enough, depending on the sight you choose. Also, if you use a mask (paintball, mesh or otherwise) this mount won't bring the optic up high enough. I'd recommend one that's a bit taller for comfortable sighting with a mask.
