G&G TR16 R4 Carbine Airsoft AEG Rifle w/ Ready-Mag Battery Compartment

"I was initially off put by this aeg when I purchased it, but after resolving some of the cosmetic issues, I love it. I was looking for a classic style m4 with a RIS, so when I saw this, I grabbed it.

Pros:

-Incredibly accurate(especially for an electric blowback, yes, it's an ebb)
-looks awesome, the ready-mag gives it a unique look.
-sturdy for the most part.


Cons:

- one of the issues I immediately noticed, was that as advertised, the battery is supposed to fit in the dummy mag on the readymag. This would be fine, however, the ready mag functions as it should and releases both mags when the mag release is pressed. This is an issue as ghe battery falls out and you risk damaging your wiring. I don't understand how g&g's r&d department approved this design; its so obnoxiously impractical. Luckily, I was able to fish the wiring out of the ready mag and attach it to a PEQ battery box on the RIS. So while the issue is resolved, it should have been an issue to begin with. If g&g were going to set up the battery to be houses like this, they should have had separate releases for the primary magwell and the ready mag, or at the very least, sequential.

- while the barrel itself isn't wobbly, the RIS itself shifts. Wouldn't be surprised if this was a JG or Combat Machine, but not from a full-fledge G&G product.

- This AEG is an electric blowback. It's no so much g&gas fault, as much as Evike for not mentioning this when marketing this product. I personally like it, but I know ebbs are controversial for many regarding reliability, so beware of this.

I was going to give this 1 star, but because after I remedied all the issues mentioned above and fielded it and enjoyed it so much, I gave it a "3", it's a fun aeg and pretty on par with g&gs quality regarding accuracy, I personally enjoyed the ebb, even if it's a gimmick. Still, this aeg seems like it was thrown together last minute by g&gas r&d department without much thought regarding practicality and setup, and on that, they should and need to do better.
