"great gun! works well and feels good. only downside, is the full auto uses so much co2, but besides that i would highly recommend it!

"Great pistol. Have been using it as a cqb sidearm for around a year, and it still kicks as hard as it did when I got it. The only problem I have had with this gun was with the magazine, as the CO2 won't stop leaking anymore, but lubing the mag with silicon oil used to fix this. The O-ring on mine may have dried out, but if you take care of the mag, this gun is a solid 10/10.

"This is a very good pistol

It does take Green Gas magazine, but DO NOT use it, it doesn't have enough pressure to cycle your rounds.

"This gun is amazing. I just got it yesterday and it shoots great. The CO2 shoots 2-3 mags for semi auto and 1.5-2.5 for full auto. It feels and looks awesome

"I love the gun very smooth reloading but I haven't taken it to a field so I yet to see how it performs on the field. I can also get three mags out of one co2 cartridge

Pros
Nice trigger pull
Decent recoil
Looks awesome and somewhat to a glock

Cons
I have no cons yet the gun is great if I could have two to dual wild them I would.

"I've had this pistol for about 9 months, and it definitely took some experience and work to get used to how this gun works and understand it.

You have to get used to not over tightening the screw for the CO2 cartridge, because too tight wont let enough gas escape and too loose will make the CO2 leak; so you need to be willing to play around with it and use a few CO2 cartridges in the process.

Also there's really no way to speed load the mag, except that you can hold down the spring with one hand and the other use a speed loader to drop each bb one by one.

Other than that its a really good gun, for beginning or advanced players and it has a cool look to it and very unique :)

"PROS: amazingly accurate, graet weight, addicting to shoot and CO2 is powerful w/ excellent blow back. Internals are solid w/ excellent slide cycles. Safety lock ON the trigger is excellent.

Overall a good gun, fun to shoot, amazingly accurate & a good addition in spite of the magazine difficulties.

"Great gun with a solid feel in all aspects and shoots beautifully. APS as a brand has came a long way and the XTP is really impressive.

"A.P.S. Black Hornet addendum
In writing my 1st. review of this pistol I left out some important details regarding the the lower polymer frame. Its looks and internal parts.
The grip has a very well done stipple where the palm pf the hand rests, the front of the grip has comfortable finger grooves. There are also thumb rests on both sides of the grip
The trigger guard is roomy enough for small medium and large hands to engage the trigger
easily . The trigger blade is very hard plastic with grooves where the finger rests.THE TRIGGER PULL IS SMOOTH ,MEDIUM LEGHNTH without a 2nd. stage. there is no crunchy feel when pulling the trigger it is smooth as silk. It breaks crisply and the shooting experience is very satisfying. ( this includes the slide motion and kick.)
Mounted in the trigger blade is a cross bolt safety . That can be engaged on by the off hand index finger and disengaged by the gripping hand index finger.
The hammer (slide ) cocking mechanism is made of reinforced steel as is the hammer itself and the hammer unit, including trigger spring ,hammer spring & and the forward and rear slide
grooves. Again everything described in this pistol would cost at least $80.00-$100.00 more from a competitor offering all that A.P.S. gives at a reasonable price.
Having described this pistol as best I can. The first one I ordered had a defective barrel, which was easily remadied ,as the gun was still warrented. Again having made that known I have over 85 air pistols and I have had more expensive guns fail. Evike was quick and personable throughout the return process and shipped out a replacement quickly.
The replacement is the pistol that I am reviewing .
It is a work of functional art and A.P.S. has become my brand of choice.
I am going to order the shark next.
Just one more thing A.P.S. offers for about $100.00 a conversion kit for the black hornet,
that will convert the pistol to a cqc.carbine without the use of special tools or modification
Thank You and happy airs ofting. BE SAFE.

"This is my 1st. A.P.S. Airsoft pistol and it has become my # 1 pistol
The pistol is well made .well balanced and accurate. The name Accurate- Pneumatic- Shooting ,says it all the pistol fits the hand like it was made for your hand . the pistol can be defined in 3 parts each part as important to the other relatively.
The first part is the light weight aluminum slide or upper full assembly the top of the slide has fixed front and rear sights ,the front being a bright white dot and the rear a split crecant. The top of the slide from front to rear has rows of raised lines that reduce glare. The slide further has front and rear serrations on both sides of the slide making racking quite easy at the front of the slide on both sides are nice looking cutouts that reduce slide weight and add to the blowback & kick of the shooting cycle and expose a portion of the outer barrel. the rear of the slide has a nicely detailed end plate, adding to the realism of the gun on the outer left side of the slide is a flat slide switch , forward =full auto firing , rearward= semi auto firing mode.
turning the slide over reveals the true quality of the upper assembly. Within the outer barrel is a 6.03mm. tight bore stainless steel inner barrel of custom quality and would be found only on higher priced guns the inner barrel is held tightly in place by A.P.S. 's propriatary rubber bucking unit ( again found in higher priced pistols) the recoil spring is a 2 part reinforced unit. and the hop up housing is held together, not only by screws but the top is held together by a steel clip as well. The nozzle is a clear blue tint heavy duty polycarbonate plastic.( Again all this is found in higher priced guns like poisidon pistol at twice the cost.) the hop up adjustment is visible at the bottom of the hop up housing and is very tight. ( you may need a small flat jewelers screwdriver to adjust it)
The lower portion of the pistol is a very high grade polymer plastic and feels great in the hand the take down clips are the same as gl$#k as is the steel slide catch. the forward underside of the frame has a piccatinny rail for ascesssories the grip is very well designed for beauty as well as function. The magazine release works smoothly both as the mag. is inserted and released.
Now moving on to the most important part of the pistol where in lies all the common problems reported by owners that do not know how to properly use the co2 magazine.
I have done 2 reviews on this magazine explaining how it works and how to use it. Both of which are here at the Evike web site. But if you are experiencing low power, poor blowback, no slide lock, after the last shot and /or miss feeding or double feeding ammo then the problem probably lies in improper use of the co2 magazine.

Thank You and I hope this helps
Kevin Neel
p.s
Once you get this pistol dialed in. It is dead on accurate in both semi& full auto modes!
