Survival Bracelets enable you to carry several feet of Mil-Spec Paracord that can be used in an emergency for countless survival applications. Parachute cord (aka paracord or 550 cord) is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. The braided sheath has a high number of interwoven strands for its size, giving it a relatively smooth texture. Type III (550 Paracord), a type commonly found in use, is nominally rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds, thus the sobriquet "550 cord".

    "This survival bracelet is worth it. Paracord is high quality. Whistle and firestarter work. Thermometer seems to work. Compass definitely is not accurate and should not be trusted.

    "These are great for EDC, super light, and looks nice for those looking for that "extra" preparedness for end of the world.

    It is not everyday you get lost in the woods, or is deserted on an island, but hey, these weight like feather and looks nice, why not. I tie it to my hiking backpack so I never forget it! The feeling of being prepared is priceless!

    "This looks cool but is honestly a piece of garbage outside of the paracord.

    Cons:
    Compass doesn't work
    Never checked accuracy of thermometer, but that's because to do so I would need to check the temp on my phone and at that point, why not just use the phone instead and get the temp for the next 24 hours. (Can see the use while camping if it works but I'm using in airsoft and really dont need.)
    Fire starter is small and difficult to get to spark due to its placement.

    Had no expectation that this would be good looking at the price tag but dang, wish that compass worked
