Fishermen also know that in terms of live bait there is no substitute for a helpless flying fish with a hook in it...until now! Frenzy Big Game Tackle has perfected the Ballistic Flying Fish as the ultimate trolling, teasing, popping, and pitch bait.

Trolling: The design of the Ballistic Flying Fish makes it perfectly suited for use as a teaser or stand-alone bait. Spreader bar and daisy chain teaser applications are absolutely deadly on pelagic, blue-water gamefish. Another equally popular method is to rig your flying fish as an in-line teaser in front of your lure to provide an irresistible presentation. Don't forget that the Ballistic Flying Fish also makes an excellent lure when trolled directly from the rod tip or from an outrigger.

Casting: The Ballistic Flying Fish has become a favorite among captains and fisherman as a deadly top-water casting bait. Cast them anywhere near a school of feeding tuna or around floatsam and weed lines and just hang on! If the initial splash of the bait on the water doesn't trigger a strike, keep your rod tip high and work the bait like a popper by making it scurry across the top of the water.

Pitch and Live Baits: When chumming or chunking, the Ballistic Flying Fish can be drifted back into your slick as an appealing target of opportunity for finicky fish. Working on top or suspended in the water column, the flying fish has a silhouette that all blue water gamefish cherish. When live-baiting, a Ballistic Flying Fish can be rigged in front of your bait to add commotion and serve as a marker to help manage your spread.

Rigging: Rigging is simple. Run your leader (50-150lb.) through the nose and out the belly of the lure. Place a bead or small egg sinker in front of your favorite hook. Crimp or tie the hook and pull the line until the hook is in the slot located in the belly. You may add a stinger hook in the second belly slot or out the tail if desired. Crimp an offshore loop or tie to a swivel.
