The Falkor Recce rifle from EMG provides the operator with a lightweight, nimble and accurate alternative to traditional heavier profile barreled rifles. The Recce is steeped in history, originally designed in-house by U.S. Navy SEAL Team armorers, and later by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (often referred to as NSWC-Crane or Crane), the SEAL Recon Rifle was developed to provide SEAL snipers with a portable, lightweight, accurate weapon with greater lethality than a standard M4 carbine. The SEAL Recon Rifle is sometimes referred to as the Recce. FALKOR has adopted the heavier barrel concept of the Recce and improved on the original concept by marrying it to our Transition rail, enhanced bridged action and sporterized chassis. The end result is an AR15 that is unmatched in accuracy and reliability.
The Falkor Recce from EMG starts with a metal upper and lower receiver unlike any other AEG on the market. With extensive tactical styling, this receiver is bar none. In addition to the unique styling of the Falkor, nearly every piece is ambidextrous including the magazine catch, bolt release, short throw fire selector and a Falkor Mach 15 Ambi-charging handle is also present to complete the high end look of this rifle. A Super Dynamic 3-Gun Trigger style straight trigger gives the operator a unique and fast trigger manipulation. The Flared Magwell grip features ridges on the front for operators who prefer a magwell style grip on their rifle. It should also be noted that the upper receiver sports a unique style that will set the look apart from every other M4 variant on the market. Moving onward you will find a flush top rail leading into Falkor's Tranny Free-Float 14.6 MLOK™ Handguard, allowing the end user to install any MLOK compatible accessories and rail segments. The furniture of the Falkor Recce is also optimized for performance, modularity and comfort. A textured, slim profile motor grip paired with the Minimalist Stock not only completes the look of the rifle, but makes it an extremely comfortable piece to shoulder and field.
Internally the Falkor Recce features a reinforced gearbox that has been precisely polished and inspected to ensure a low thermal and frictional coefficient. 8mm stainless ball bearings, a smooth trigger, high heat contact switch, a ball bearing spring guide and a high quality steel gear set make the internals of the Falkor Recce match the outstanding externals of this rifle.
We all know those who like to say that any AR-15 platform rifle is just "another M4", go ahead and try to say that to the EMG Falkor Recce and you will most definitely run into some contention. About the Silver Edge Gearbox:
The APS Silver Edge gearbox is yet another step forward with improvement of the tried-and-true version 2 gearbox. APS took their Hybrid Electric Blowback gearbox design and improved upon it with some excellent key features. First and foremost they use an improved strength Grade 5 aluminum alloy for the gearbox shell material. They then fully polish the interior of the gearbox to a chrome-like finish, effectively reducing friction on the moving parts that contact the gearbox walls, such as the sides of the piston and the tappet plate. From there they deck the gearbox out with steel gears riding on 8mm stainless steel bearings, low-resistance wiring and trigger switch, and to top it all off a Quick-Change ball bearing spring guide allowing for easy spring changes in the future. All of these improvements net around a 15% increase in overall efficiency, when compared with standard Ver2 gearbox designs. What this means for the user is better battery life, smoother gearbox performance, and improved gearbox longevity.Length:

"(I got this in an Evike Box of Awesomeness)
Overall I really like it. It can really reach out with the stock barrel, however there are 2 things I don't like.
1. Mag release. The mag release drops most mags free which is nice, but what I don't like is that its small and stiff. A couple times I accidentally pressed the bolt release because its just a small triangle. Also, it's very stiff, at least mine is. you need to give it a good push for the mag to come out.
2. Bolt. The bolt does not lock back which is annoying when trying to adjust the hop up. It sometimes gets stuck after you release the charging handle, so you have to nudge it a bit for it to go all the way forwards.
2 things to keep in mind: It doesn't come with sights, and on .25s I had to crank the hop up up a lot, so on really heavy BBs there might be an issue.
Overall, the quality is great and I really like the ergonomics. By far my most comfortable gun, I would recommend it for the price.
"So after trying to find a reason to say something good. This gun has some good range right out of the box. The hopup is counter intuitive. I found that out after leaving with the gun a bit more. Do not use lighter than .28 with this gun if you want good grouping at 40 yards. But the right side mag release still sticks just not as frequently. Maybe it just needs to get broken in. The selector switch is nice though especially considering it is ambi. The bolt sim plate under the dust cover is really cheap and rattled a bit but hey it's a small down side. It does not stay locked to the rear, the bolt catch lever does not hold it back at all.
Looks sexy as hell from a distance or in pictures
Good range out of the box
Light weight for the size
Sticky mag release
Inop bolt catch
Low ROF even with 9.6
Feels cheap in your hands
No Dean's adapter for something that was hyped up as a high quality gun. it a little bit of a let down not a huge deal though.
"This gun is a very excellent base for modification and it will also "do the job" out of the box. I purchased this gun for a good platform to mod and I was not disappointed because it is incredibly sturdy and looks phenomenal!
-Looks fantastic(definitely recommend spending the extra bucks for the Falkor grey)
-barrel isn't brass(factory is 429mm. 430 will fit.)
-gear box SHELL is alright
-quick change spring guide is sweet!
-trigger is omg cool
Cons(there are a lot but I expected all of them and they shouldn't deter you from purchasing)
-internals(in my opinion are junk). The only thing I still have stock in the gun is the barrel surprisingly.. everything else I literally just threw away. Motor is complete trash(does the job.. but very slow, very weak). Gears are standard 18:1 blah blah. Piston was crap, air seal sucked, aoe was horrific actually, Tappet plate bent when I upgraded all other internals(but this was also at 30rps). Hop up is your standard "does the job" m4 nub hop. THERE WAS SO MUCH GREASE everywhere in the gun.. like everywhere.
-stock is awesome looking but good luck fitting any nimh battery in it.. you can do a 7.4 stick but you are limited to low output batteries because this gun doesn't have a mosfet. (Gate Titan mosfet is great with this gun because you can fit many 11.1v stick lipos in the buffer tube)
Overall, I'd buy it again(and I plan to pick up a blitz for cqb build) but you should definitely look at upgrading the internals right away. 4 out of 5 mostly because it is ~$300 gun with no mosfet and internals that look like they came out of something off ebay.. BUT IT LOOKS AND FEELS GREAT.
My current setup: Shs 16:1 gears, Lonex A1 motor, Shs piston+piston head, shs cylinder, modify s120 spring, gate titan fet, 11.1v 30c 1600mah stick type lipo, prowin hop up+flat hop, still stock barrel.
