"I love this gun.
-It feels like it will never break.
-The rate of fire and the consistency of its accuracy are great (i get 20rps shooting 0.3g BBs with the stock gun using 11.1 lipos)
-it feels very professional, well built, and powerful.
-Some other people here have said that it only accepts certain mags. I have been able to get it to take any mag I put in it, but it takes a little practice since you have to push the mag with a bit of force otherwise it will fall right out.
-The stock is a little wobbly. Its not to bad and I let one of my friends who is in the marines try it out and he said the wobble is no worse than the service rifles they get issued.
-The stock itself is very well built and has room for butterfly batteries or small lipos. But given this gun works best with lipos, I recomend switching the stock for something that can accept larger batteries of different shapes.
-Mine did shoot a bit to the left for a while when I first got it. After a game or so I took off the top receiver to make sure the bucking wasn't angled and when i put it back together it shot straight.
There are many small things with this gun that could have been improved or changed to make it perfect in my eyes. (i would have preferred having a full picatinny rail instead of the keymod) But overall its an amazing gun and it wont let you down. I recommend it.
"SOLID SOLID SOLID that's what I love about it. Very well built. Shoots like a dream. Did I mention solid? Everything about this just screams of quality. I'll go over quick pros and cons:
Very solidly built. No Flex or creaking
Shoots very well, It has that "Upgraded" sound and feel
High ROF / High FPS
QRS accessories by default are sexy AF
1 year warranty
Magwell is cut specifically for VFC QRS Mags, so mag compatibility isn't the best (Would not take my KWA 120, so I had to buy 5 of the QRS Mags - but they are incredible mags, so I wasn't upset about that)
QRS Stock has wobble (Fixed with a strip of gorilla tape on the buffer tube)
It's heavy - Playing with it all day is a work out.
When I was choosing it was between this or a Krytac. When I went to the store, I told them I wanted: great performance out of the box, reliable long lasting internals, and rock solid externals. Literally everyone said to go with the Avalon based on my list of wants. I am very happy with my purchase.
"This gun is well worth the money for what you get out of the box. Some youtube reviews I watched said this is a "Krytac killer" which I am on the edge on agreeing with. I can say this is more bang for your buck than a Krytac.
Anyway, I got the bronze one because the black was out of stock. Glad I did because it really does look nice externally. Do not confuse bronze with tan. Hops .23 .25. and .28 fine. Thinking I may use .30 when I need the range but have not tested those yet. People complain about the selector switch being wobbly, mine is not. Only thing on the gun that wobbles is the stock and unless you aftermarket that its probably going to on every gun. Light enough to use in long games (wont need a sling). Only disappointment is that there is no short trigger pull to spam semi auto, but thats a easy mod and that is also me being picky. No other imperfection to report in the short term.
I have heard this can be picky with mags so here is what worked and didnt from my tests. I generally run pts midcaps so my collection is a bit small.
Angel custom 1500rd drum mag
Did not work:
ICS highcap (only because its a bit too tight)
