(Write a review) "one more thing, it says that it comes with a high cap mag, but mine came with a mid cap. a pleasant surprise, really. this is a good investment for sure, ma`doods. "here is my promised full review. let me tell you at the start, I did NOT disassemble this thing, `cause I don`t wanna break anything.
so this is based on game play, and such.
this is not a long-range, DMR-type, out of the box. however, I will always trust this thing in medium to close range attacks. that will require a upgrade that I do not have the monies to purchase.
nor do I need to.
I recommend .20s or .25s in this baby. anything heavier does`nt go to far.
it has been very reliable so far, but if I have any problems, I will get back on here and let you guys know.
oh, one last thing, do NOT pull the charging handle to much, the spring on mine just broke tonight. not really important though. it just pulls the handle back once you let go of it. "I've had mine for almost a year now and so far hasn't let me down yet. The gun comes with a hex mid-cap magazine that works pretty well. Though I don't know if it's just mine, but initially, I had to force the mag in to lock in properly and pull it out since it wouldn't drop freely, but after a bit of use, it'll fit in the mag-well easily and drop out easily. This gun is pretty good in close-medium range engagements, but if you want to be able to hit targets from afar, you're going to need to arc your bbs a bit. The hop-up is pretty easy to adjust as it has those hop-up wheel adjusters that you push up and down (sorry, forgot what they were called).
Like most AR-15/M4 models, it's pretty customizable. I took off the the front site and attached an over the barrel mock suppressor that I made, took off the rail covers, replaced the angled vertical grip it came with and attached a stubby grip, and replaced the stock, which you're gonna wanna do since it can't fit nun-chuck batteries and you have to remove the stock to fit in a small Lipo battery. I also want to note that you can't interchange the buffer tube with most other buffer tubes due to the different dimensions or something, but you can't still change stocks so it's not much of a problem.
Now, this may be a problem for you techies, but not as much as a problem for some skirmishers like me, but you can't get to the gearbox as easily. There taking out the gearbox is the same like most other M4s, but I can't seem to remove the bottom of the pistol grip. It looks like you're suppose to open it up like a compartment, but it won't budge. You can still change the inner barrel, but it doesn't seem like I'll be able to perform other internal upgrades.
Now for the reason this gun looses a star from me, the trigger. It's no that the trigger is bad or anything, it's actually pretty good out of the box. It has a pretty good trigger response and I think even a speedsofter could say it's a decent trigger, but I noticed that after using it for bit, it'll start to lock. It's not one of those instances where you have to switch the gun into full then back to semi, I've tried that already. I've tried to fix it and that's where the access to the gearbox is a slight problem for me, but don't worry, if you let the gun "rest" for a bit, the problem is fixed. I think it just has something to do with the motor heating up or something.
Anyways, this is a pretty good gun. Runs well, is pretty durable and is not so heavy due to it being made from aluminum and not steel or whatever most full metal airsoft M4/AR-15s of. Write a Review
