"Great gun, it's like a sniper rifle without sights. The action is a bit hard at first but it will loosen up.
"I was excited to get this gun, my last shot gun took forever to load and was just a giant piece of plastic. So with being metal and wood my expectations were high. Unfortunately the gun turned out a bit of a let down for me.
Metal body with wood stick and pump.
20 round clip
Spring, no gas or battery
Heavy(could be con)
Single round shot ( basically a pump rifle)
Manual clip reloading(or speed loader)
It's heavy, but not where you'd need to get a strap
20 round clip: but filling it to 20 makes it feed multiple rounds into the gun jamming it.
Springs a bit stiff(but it makes it shoot strait)
As a gun to shot targets or a back up I'd recommend it, but as a primary or cqb weapon I'd say find something else. The main problem for was the ammo clip jamming. It holds 20 rounds but loading all 20 jams the barrel and it takes time removing the clip and shaking out the bbs. I found that 10 in each clip makes it not jam but that reduces the amount you can fire. Overall I love the look and feel but the jamming on the field is a big problem.
"**Classic Army Shotgun Police Wood version"
BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK
Picked up the Classic Army shotgun over the weekend so I have not taken it to a field yet; but I don't think it will field-legal. More on that in a bit.
The shotgun is SOLID. Metal body, metal barrel, metal magazine tube, metal trigger and trigger guard. The stock and fore end is real wood though it doesn't appear to be made of walnut like real Remingtons. The only plastic piece externally is the faux bolt that doesn't move. There are no creaks or wobble where the barrel meets the receiver or the stock. There is a tiny bit of play with the pump but that is to be expected and significantly less than a real shotgun. There is a good deal of heft and weight but that might be because of the wood furniture; the synthetic versions may be lighter. While the shotgun seems to be externally durable, I wouldn't however recommend doing the one-handed pump/rack. Even with a stiff spring it wasn't hard to pump it.
There are no sights on the police model and looking at the pictures of the breacher and tactical versions, all of them do not.
The new Classic Army shotgun appears to be a direct copy of the new gen Maruzen shotgun with same feeding system and even has the hop up adjustment in the same location.
It is single shot and has the faux magazine like the Maruzen CA870, G&P and the lesser clones S&T and A&K. Retailers need to update their description of the magazine. Evike (and others) has it listed at 10 rounds but its actually 22.
Box is plain with no markings and no bb's were included. There isn't even a manual or a cleaning/ramrod. Classic Army didn't even make an effort in the product's presentation.
FPS at the highest shot at a whopping 457 and a low of 451 making it too hot for any field! Both FPS and range are literally at sniper rifle level. Unless you can convince the field that it is a sniper rifle, after all it is single shot, it is way above field limits.
No, it is not a "tri-shot". With the exception of AA-12 (because of the body design) tri-shot pump shotguns cant have hop. Tri-shots also cannot fire over 300 FPS either. I'd rather have a high powered single shot shotgun with adjustable hop than a weak, hop-less tri-shot. Just compare it as firing a slug instead of buckshot.
SOLID build, internals TBD.
RANGE is on par with AEGs and even some sniper rifles
Price. Best bang for the buck
Not a tri-shot. Maybe for some its a con, to me it isn't.
Shoots way to hot, no lower FPS models
